While Turian Biotics are rare, their formidable training and discipline, as well as the use of rather unorthodox biotic techniques, make them able to keep up with asari commandoes.
Due to their value, palaven command at first restricted their deployment to turian space, but with the Krogan turning the tide in the Trebia System, some platoons of Cabals and Protectors were transferred to the Alliance's strike teams.

Turian Cabal (Adept)

Trained for a wide variety of skill, a turian cabal can deal with a single powerful target as well as with large groups of adversaries.

Posted Image Blast
Throw your enemies back in a cone in front of you. The closer they are, the more damage they take.
Damage: 300 Force: 300 Range: 6 m Cooldown: 5 seconds
[Comments: Blast functions similar to Ballistic Blades, affecting targets in front of you, but with decreasing damage and force the farther they are away. Can trigger biotic explosions on all targets. Initial cone angle in 60°]
Rank 2: Increase Cone Angle by 30°
Rank 3: Increase Recharge Speed by 20%
Rank 4: Damage&Force / Recharge Speed
A) Increase Damage and Force by 30%
B) Increase Recharge Speed by 25%
Rank 5: Range / Cone Angle
A) Increase Range by 50%
B) Increase Cone Angle by 36°
Rank 6: Warp / Shield Piercing
A) Leaves detonatable Effect on targets that deals additional 30% of damage over 7 seconds. [Affects a maximum of 3 targets (the closest ones). Percentage of damage is from base damage, and is not reduced over range. Cannot self-detonate.]
B) Allows Blast to throw back shielded targets, but with greatly reduced force. [Force loss is 70%. Damage is applied before force, so when the damage is large enough, the shields/barriers will be gone and the full force is applied.]

Posted ImageSlam

Posted ImageWarp or Posted Image Dark Channel
[Not sure yet. Both would serve the role of detonation primer.]

Turian Protector (Sentinel)
Adept at survival, Protectors focus on drawing enemy fire away from their comrades. While not a large threat on their own, their value on the battlefield should not be underestimated.

Posted ImageProtector Shield
Creates an inpenetrable shield from the Omni-Tool that blocks all damage from the front. Reduces mobility and weapon stability.
Lasts until deactivated or destroyed.
Shield HP: 2000 Recharge Time: 12 seconds
[While in the Shield mode, the Protector uses Guardian animations (including light melee shield bash). She cannot sprint, heavy melee or use cover. Side arms receive -10% stability, larger weapons receive -60%.
The Shield Model is the Shadow Broker's Shield:
Posted Image
When the Shield is hit by a melee attack or an ability/force-applying attack, the Protector will do the "shield bashed open" animation of the Guardian. The shield will dissipate during the animation, and has to be re-cast afterwards.
The Cooldown of the Shield triggers upon activation. The Shield can be shut off during that cooldown, it will not register another cooldown upon shutdown.]
Rank 2: Reduce Cooldown by 20%
Rank 3: Increase Shield HP by 25%
Rank 4: Durability / Emergency Detonation
A) Increase Shield HP by 30%
B) When destroyed, the remaining Shield Energy will be send out as Shockwave, damaging nearby enemies.
Damage: 300 Force: 750 N Radius: 2 m
[Damage is not dependant on remaining Shield HP. Will be triggered if Shield is destroyed by enemy fire, or instantly dissipated by melee or abilities (see above). If manually shut off, the Shield will not explode.]
Rank 5: Power Synergy / Shield Synergy
A) Increases Power Damage and Force by 10% while the Shield is active.
B) Restores 75% of the shields upon activation. [Base Shields, as always]
Rank 6: Armor Boost / Recharge Speed
A) Gives 20% Damage Reduction while the Shield is active. [This Damage Reduction also applies to the Shield itself. In fact, I would prefer if all DRs would also apply to the Shield.]
B) Increases Recharge Speed by 25%

Posted Image Blast
Same Values as above.

Comments:
Another Idea that is partially mine, partially gathered together from the forums. Both the Shield idea as the wish for Slam and Dark Channel have been floating around for some time. I chose to go the way of less resistance and implemented them on a Turian instead of a Prothean, as their gameplay value is not limited by the species.
The idea for the Protector actually came first, and was focused around the Shield. I invented Blast as large-area, low-cooldown, low-damage ability that can be used to draw a lot of aggro onto the Protector. Cryo Blast was chosen because another biotic ability would have been either something explodeable or something redundant, and Cryo Blast, as damage-free Tech ability fits the whole support theme better. To satisfy all those score-junkies, I suggest adding the damage absorbed by the Shield to the overall score.
The Turian Cabal was a recent idea, at least with the current skill-set. I went back to play a bit Single-Player, and found that Javik's Slam is an awesome ability, at least a lot better than its reputation. So I went ahead and gave it to Cabal, as long-range detonator. Then, I played with the thought of giving her Dark Channel as well, but the low
cooldown would limit the combo potential, so personally I prefer giving her Warp. With Warp, the Cabal can keep up with an Asari Adept in biotic fireworks. Over long distances, she will actually take the lead, as Slam is instant, so no pesky side-hopping screwing the combo in the last seconds. Over short distances, alternating Warp and Blast will result in grievous bodily harm.
On a side note, I would not protest much if Bioware refuses to make them female, but I think they still owe us female Turians. About their look, I agree with the main-stream: Shorter fringe, more hips, overall a bit more curvy, and a more catlike face.
I claim no intellectual ownership of the opening image. Of the ability icons, those of standard abilities are Bioware's work. Those of my new suggestions are self-made from other power icons.

Also check out my other suggestions for what I have chosen to refer to as my "Retribution Pack" suggestion:
Geth Soldier
Nemesis Defector

Turian Biotics aren't usually frontline combatants. I'd rather have FTI and FTE.

Well, I'd like to have:
Turian Soldier (Male/Female)
Turian Sentinel (Male/Female)
...and now we may talk about adepts.
But I do like your idea :) I'd just like to see both genders for each.
Loving the shield.

These ideas are solid. Neither of the two is overpowered, and both would bring some interesting new gameplay value.

I have to lol at the sexualized female Turian with fringe though, since the canon female Turians we know from the comics just look like male Turians with short fringes and wider blades/feathers, and are distinctly not a heterosexual male fantasy of hot aliens (which I applauded since, you know, Asari).

Nice op. I would live to see a FT in mp if she can roll.

Well, I filled the Infiltrator spot on my Suggestion roster already, and I couldn't really think of unique abilities for a Turian Engineer. Besides, the Turian Sentinel is already a biotic, in case you haven't noticed. So I'm not bending the lore intoducing more.

[Insert Flexibility joke here]
No promises. I wouldn't recommend it on the Protector, but for the Cabal, why not?

Great work trying to design all the "We want [...]" threads into usable characters that sound a lot of fun. Love the new ability ideas and am once again awed at the work you invested into this.

On the more technical side, they sound pretty good in terms of originality. Balance issues are hard to be sure of until testing, but from looking at it, I'd say off the top of my head that the Cabal's rate of Biotic Explosions may end up being a little too high. Would probably have to look at that if it got implemented.

You have to weight that against the smaller range compared to Asari against armored targets (Slam fails completely against protected), as well as the reduced lethality of the combos, since Blast doesn't give a bonus, while throw does.

Slam explodes the Combo at the top of the lift part, before the target is actually slammed. So its detonation bonus is less effective, as the explosion happens above other enemies.

Also, according to the groundskeeper, they have no ta-ta's.

If you think the OP picture is overly sexualized, you haven't seen the half of it. Frankly, I am completely amazed AlienAtSystem managed to find as harmless a picture as that at all... There's some really horrible depictions of Turian ladies out there.

There's a really easy shortcut Bioware could use for Turian ladies if they wanted to satisfy fans who want them. Throw on a helmet, the medium armor rather than the heavy armor that Garrus and the multiplayer Turians wear and do a female voiceover. We don't know what female Turians look like, they could easily look just the same as males. The helmet lets us still have the speculation on what a female Turian looks like while the Medium armor is lighter and makes us think "female" more readily.

On another note entirely, I like your plan for the shield power. I tried coming up with one myself and I think yours has some better ideas than mine did. Though I still love the idea of an evolution to increase the size of the shield to let allies follow behind. Would be fantastic for pizza deliveries, just bring along a walking wall to shield the carrier.

God damn, what a great thread and character idea - people, who say they want other classes, please don't hijack the thread. Anyway, great ideas, love the new biotic powers, love the graphics.

A shield would be nice, I could stop using my krogans fat ass to keep team mates from being shot while they are doing objectives.

EDIT: I went flouncing around in that gallery and there are quite a few fairly asexual  looking ones in that gallery that might fit the taste more of those that have their panties in a bunch over the OP's featured image being too femanine.

Well, the Krogan still has more meatshield than a Turian, but yeah, that is kind of the point. Most of the tank-characters introduced so far have at some point to rely on their health bars, and those won't come back. The shield will.

Nice ideas. But I really hate the idea of seeing Turian females in the frontline call me a sexist.
And I believe they should at least fix the current Turians first.

Pretty sure the turian military is split fairly 50/50. I am honestly surprised to NOT see turian females fighting on the front lines.

It has been stated that Turian women have an equal place in society, including the conscription into the military. And what is there to fix about the Turians except the missing facial markings?
