It's different and interesting to the gameplay. I loved it!
But I doubt that Bioware adopt this idea...

One can always hope. Even if it is in the end just an inspiration for a completely different character.

I don't know, but a FTI seems more reasonable to me. Still good work man

Mh, nice ones, posted a very similar idea for a Blast like skill for the Turian female Vanguard I wanted, a while ago.
I guess I would most gladle see a female Vanguard instead of a Sentinel, since we already have a Turian one, but I agree that the Shield ability could be really interesting in terms of gameplay.

Still hoping that we will get female Turians one day.

There is an official Turian Female in the comics, which means any other version just looks like silly hornboy wishes. I prefer the males myself and would rather see more males in the billions of alternate armor sets they have in the SP.

The waste needs to be alitle bigger, or the legs a little thinner, but other than that the picture is awesome! I really like your ideas for the adept and sentinel. I might even play them over my Asari! (if they were real of course!) Plus I feel the game nees more females. Especially after the last pack. Six new male characters! We need balancing!

Honestly, I feel like the stability loss is odd with the shield. I just have an odd picture in my head of a TFS with her shield out, firing a Hurricane and flipping backwards immidiately.

Maybe increased muzzle bloom would work better.

Infiltrators and Engineers aren't biotics though.

Also, DO WANT!!!!!!

This would be fantastic -- the shield. You could ACTUALLY tank for someone. I feel like sentinels can't actually tank for anyone but themselves. If you had a shield you could be the cover for your teammates in an open area (like hacking objective). Dang.. BW should really implement fan ideas.

I prefer Ohei's take on FTurians myself. I would definitely prefer access to at least one playable Turian with Saren's fringe pattern, AFAIK he's the only one in ME who had that morphology - on a female or male Turian I don't particularly care.

The ability list looks pretty good, too. Blast/Smash might combo incredibly well, I'd have to see how that worked out. I think Barrier instead of Blast might be pretty interesting on the Adept - Turians can't roll after all, so this would help alleviate that a bit. Maybe that would be too "sentinel"-y, but hey, I can dream...

The protector shield's going to need like 75% base DR or 10x HP to start I think - 1000 HP is not going to last very long against any kind of incoming fire. That's less than one Nemesis shot on silver or gold AFAIK. I'd also suggest, on the contrary, an accuracy boost when using the Protector Shield. This gives you a bit more striking reach to make up for the no-roll AND no-sprint, plus synergizes with the Veteran's stability bonuses to make the Revenant and shotguns a bit more viable when the Shield is up. Having it stagger human-size melee enemies that approach from the front would give it a unique anti-Phantom property which might also be very important - again, no-roll no-sprint makes you a gigantic Phantom target otherwise. Hell, something to stick in the face of those Hunters would be nice too...

This doesn't necessarily get rolled into my other suggestions, but: consider the krogan charge heavy melee animation as HM with shield.

I absolutely forgot about her. I remember being shown that very comic page years ago and it fell from my memory. I still think the best armor set for them would be the medium type that you see most of the single player Turians wearing, rather than trying to create some new sort of cloth robe uniform. The helmet could go if only because I'd love to hear the sound of a thousand expectant fanboys crying out in unison that they aren't sexualized and are instead more in line with the Turian's avian design cues.

Actually, it seems like this comic's design is far from cannon, since the authors took some liberties with it.
They are similar to the males, so they could have shorter fringes, instead of being bald like they are designed here.

We still don't have any real official design.

I personally dig this one.

What you like personally and what's in a published work are two different things, you can link pictures all day to more sexualised Turian females, but that doesn't change the fact that a precident has already been made.

Honestly I'd rather see something more assault minded instead of pelting targets from far away.
The shield is about the only thing I like.

It just feels so "Women have to be archers/mages/healers" to me, save the shield power, and that just rubs me the wrong way.

Of course; that's why I said personally about this design, I never said it should become official.
I just explained that this comic is just not cannon, since even Bioware actually stated that the female looks actually like the males. So they should have the fringes, that's all. Especially knowing those fringes actually help them to protect from Palaven's radiation.
There is just NO reason for the females to not have them.

Alot of liberties have been taken with those comics, so their design is as official as the one I posted.

The comics have a tendency to get a lot of details wrong, just look at the Tali comic that was published not too long ago. They also contradict the codex and what we are told in-game. If the canon isn't consistent, how can it be properly established? Personally I'm hoping the art has changed a bit in the next Homeworlds comic (which is the Garrus one).

There have been heaps of discussion threads around these parts regarding what female turians should look like but the artists themselves have not decided on their appearance (there's an interview some where regarding Garrus and other turians and how they were designed and nobody agrees on the females).

What works for one medium might not work the same for another. Besides, in MP the females would be heavily armoured like the female humans and quarians so all they really need is a feminine face and voice.

I dunno why, if they are integrated one day, I always pictured them with medium arm-revealing armors.
Doubt we will see this happening, since, if it happens, they will probably get armors from the SP.

Great idea i give you my full support. very well explained as well thought i don't think it will be seen anytime soon

edit: i noticed that blast is basically the same as shockwave, and dark chanel is only available for proteans not that it really maters but the adept is underpowered with this abilities

That just seems silly.

If you think the OP picture is overly sexualized, you haven't seen the half of it. Frankly, I am completely amazed AlienAtSystem managed to find as harmless a picture as that at all... There's some really horrible depictions of Turian ladies out there.

*does a quick scan of deviantart for 'female turian'*

*doesn't see much of anything sexualized at all*

*wonders what kind of stuff above poster searched for...*

Turians are fighting a war against galaxy-destroying, genetic-material-harvesting, brainwashing megalithic space ships. so what they "usually" do doesn't quite factor in.

Good concept, OP. The "Cabal" looks like she might be a little overpowered, though. Mostly because of Warp, but with Dark Channel, she should be fine.
