Except for the fact that both are being sought after by the Divine they have little in common and their stories seem mostly unrelated.

Unless it would be something to do with why they've both disappeared I guess?

I'm wondering how they are going to explain the Warden's disappearance for those that played WH and didn't go with Morrigan into the mirror?  I hope they don't do another Fergus the noble human's brother from Highever.  For those who can't quite recall his circumstancial disappearance throughout the game, here it is in parody from the Dragon strange post:

Fergus:  In actual fact I fled Ostagar before the battle even began and headed to Denerim's Pearl. I drunkenly stumbled out meaning to go to the Chantry to beg forgiveness and more importantly for healing for my hangover and STDs but sadly in my inebriated condition I tripped and fell down the well. I later woke up with three corpses piled on top of me, I guess even though you didn't do that quest that somebody else did, and so I used them to climb out. I was spotted by Howe's guards, but they bravely ran away. I then began the long walk back to Ostagar to see if the battle was yet won, when I was ambushed by bandits. The bandits were then ambushed by darkspawn and I escaped, certain that my day could not possibly get any worse. I finally made my way to Ostagar only to find it overrun with Darkspawn, so I fled into the Wilds where I was set upon by wolves. I was rescued by an elderly witch who healed me and had her way with me until I regained enough strength to escape. A group of Chasind found me wandering around the Wilds, still recovering from a concussion and the mental horror of playing sex slave to an old witch and they took pity upon me since I'd managed to learn their complicated sign language just by quickly skimming through a book that mentioned them......

LOL! They could have used that as a DA2 dlc... I'd pay good money to play that!

Hmmn, maybe the book is not so much the warden and Hawke's stories, but the story of Anders and the fall of the Chantry? They both travelled with him, and he is, arguably, the main character in DA2, certainly the one with the biggest impact on the story. If Anders is alive, Hawke knows where he is. If he's dead, Hawke is the one who can stop the mages. Just a theory. I do hope Morrigan comes back, she was like a sister to my warden.

The book could just be about important persons who originated from Fereldan.

You guys... that book contains the story of the warden and Hawke. That picture of Morrigan is probably just like an illustration for the wardens story.

I'm pretty sure Fergus tells you that his scouting party got ambushed in the Korcari wilds and he was cared for by Chasind while his wounds healed and by the time he was well and whole enough to get back to Highever the place had been overrun and it wasn't safe anymore. When he finally got to Denerim the Warden had pretty much taken care of business. Off topic, but you know. Posted Image

The only theory I know if that makes any sense for the Warden/Hawke's disappearances is that they both know they've probably got factions hunting them to solve all their problems and have their own ideas about how things should be handled without outside (and probably untrustworthy) influence. But again, why anyone would put their stories into a single book escapes me - one has very little to do with the other. It could just be a Chantry report, but who illustrates reports?

I think the Warden and Hawke met up, became bestest buddies, and are going on a Pub-crawl through Thedas with the proceeds from their adventuring.

And that would be the plot of DA3 :D
