Spent 20 years in the Canadian Forces providing meteorological services in all three elements; air, land, and sea.  Started working towards psychology and counselling before the college I attended asked me to instruct their aviation students in meteorology.

Now I work for a company in the video game industry.  Maybe you've heard of it?

How do you go from meteorology to video games, if you don't mind my asking?

Many of my skills in the weather services meant digging through databases and providing quality assurance.  Also, as an ex soldier, sailor and airman, I also provide various perspectives to the development team and a variety of organizational skills.  All this coupled with the fact that I've been a video game nut since the 70s and always wanted to be a part of itImage IPB.

I am the SWAT team for a construction material company: when things get rough, I get the blame am sent in. I handle claims, matters like licensing and other stuff that a brain is necessary for. In addition I provide councelling and wording services when nasty (or simply complicated) letters need to be written. I also do a bit of key account management to round things up. So as to not get bored, I do part time internet rating as well...

I used to have my own company and would love to say it went all to hell because of the circumstances, but unfortunately I helped many of those to arise... Before that I did all sorts of stuff from interpreting/translation to being Mr.Fixit on two power-plant erection projects, and I have given the initial nudge to some very successful people in network marketing...

I have an MA in English Language and Literature (wrote my thesis on how the Kalevala influenced Tolkien's mythology...) and will probably get my MA in Finnish early next year. Probably will continue my Bachelors program in economics from September.

I am a certified EU tender writer and will soon be a certified project manager as well, long before I complete the other course I am taking in a special area of corporate finances and accounting.

The tl,dr version: I am desperately trying to find my place in the world...

I live in a great relationship with an exceptionally smart woman and I am the father of two. Well, strictly speaking I am not really a father, but we have two dogs...

I'm a network admin during the week and do computer repair on the weekends. Between that and tending to my pregnant girlfriend, watching Doctor Who, reading, writing, and sleeping, I'm a gamer. :)

Started off as a marine engineer building ships and submarines for the Navy for 10 years , then looked after castles around country for about 6 years. Now I'm a stillman/mashman in a malt whisky distillery in Scotland. It's a hard life but somebody has to do it! Image IPB

No job ATM, medicaly disabled for a little while longer but i am persuing a career in audio recording/production. Obviously music would be my primary choice but i wouldn't mind doing sound work for videogames or movies.
