Sideshow Collectibles announces the Commander Shepard Premium Format Figure.
The only info available so far is a teaser image, shown below.

In case you're not familiar with Sideshow, that company is a highly regarded manufacturer of high-end collectable statues. I own several Sideshow products and they are truly stunning works of art; so to say the least, this announcement is kind of a big deal.

Premium Format refers to a line of statues that the company produces. It is arguably the company's flagship line. Premium Format (or PF for short) figures are usually mixed media (with actual fabric for clothes for instance), quarter scale polystone statues. They don't have to be mixed media to be considered a PF though. So long as it's of the highest craftsmanship and quality, it's a PF. 



Also note that the company usually makes two versions of each statue. One version they refer to as the regular version, and the the other version is referred to as the Exclusive (or EX) version. The difference between regular version and EX version is often a switch out piece for the EX version that the regular will lack. For instance, they may have the EX of this statue come with a switch out Omniblade arm for instance. Sometimes the EX version is nothing more than an added art print that the regular version lacks. Sometimes they don't make an EX version for their products. It remains to be seen if they'll have an EX version for Shepard.

I just saw this on sideshows website...
Apparentley there are 2 versions of this statue as well.. Male/FemShep ... They look amazing either way... Gonna have to save up big.. I recon these will go in the Mid $300's

Im not saying you should but I have a dummy email just for stuff like that. I can say that I am getting no extra spam sence I have been a member of there site. They are a really friendly bunch of people to with great customer service.

Theres going to be a FemShep one?    Havent seen anything about that.  I really hope there is because it would totally make my month! (and I've had a great month so far  )


The only statue Im aware she is getting is the anime style bishoju one.

ME has Premium Format statues, Play Arts Kai actions figures, Bishoujos statues and some ships replicas... where is the DA statues Bioware?!?!?!?! Make it happen!

I would love a Premium Format with the Warden from the Warden's Call trailer. And Morrigan.

I don't quite get what he's doing in the pose, but I don't quite get the Bishoujo pose of femShep either (holding out a hand for no reason like trying to stop a bullet.. needs some biotics maybe)
Otherwise looks pretty awesome.

I'd totes want DA stuff too like Morrigan doing some magic (not her look from those cinematic trailers.. she looks weird on those)

Well, I'm sure you can pose it differently anyway. I like this one better than PlayArts Kai DudeShep (and that it has an omniblade).

For those who didn't like the Bishoujo FemShep, there's a PlayArts Kai one they showed at SDCC. Tali, too.

I see where my money is going this winter.

the kai femshep is so derpy, just like the in-game default. of all the faces they could've gone with, bioware chose the derpiest female face imaginable. and the red hair only makes it worse.

No, you can't pose it differently. This is a STATUE, not an Action Figure.

And of course is better than the PAK, that is 70$ action figure, this is a 350$ statue.

No. We did NOT choose that face...
We chose a beautiful face with beautiful hair in a gorgeous illustration for the cover art. The in-game model for femShep looks NOTHING like it, except for eye color and hair color. It's not even a similar facial structure o_O and has a lot of makeup that wasn't there.

DasGleamer is right imo. I wouldn't call it derpy though, to me it's just ugly... sorry guys, but opinions. She's just very very ugly. (I don't think hair color makes it worse though).
I'm really wishing for a femShep figure based on the illustration that we did vote on. That could look amazing, even if not my Shepard (I'd probably just paint her hair black)

I think the Play Arts Kai femShep figure looks ok-ish so far (it's a prototype), as far as this line's human faces go (they're all kinda bad). However she's not my Shepard and she still is pretty ugly. Maybe if I learn how to customize dolls.
Also Tali and femShep look kinda on the thin side.
Ash has a stylized body, compared to manShep's realistic proportions, but maybe it's just cause Ash was dead on my playthrough and that's just how she looks in ME3.

I do really like the Bishoujo femShep, so far (no sculpt or paint yet!), and I'm pretty sure I'm buying her. She's looking very pretty (and cute) despite the hand/heels problems. (and I wish it was poseable D: ) I am a pinup fan girl though, also a bit of an otaku :V

It'd be nice to get a femShep on the cheap american action figure line, for fairness sake. (Also needs Zaeed, Jack, Wrex and Kasumi... come on Zaeed was born to be an action figure)


Back on topic, I hear the other version of the Sheploo PF statue comes with an extra part... they probably have a switchable arm or something?

I applaud SS for not going the easy route with Liara or Tali. Starting with Thane is pretty awesome.

Anyway. I missed that it's a statue. I don't actually buy these things of any sort (the Garrus PlayArts is the first one). But I'm curious about the FemShep statue now if it's really being made - not that I have $350 for one. =P

Not sure we'll get everyone though. But if so, f*ck my life. These are way too expensive and big for me, it's doubtful I'll buy any.
