I actually like Diana Allers. Am I the only one? I think so.

No, it isn't. It's called professional integrity. You don't go out of your way to generate that manner of conflict of interest, regardless of how minor it might end up.Demon King Oda wrote...
But Jessica Chobot doesn't get to review the game and her presence is so miniscule that you can't really expect IGN to change its review of the game based on that. The game was awesome, and they agreed. So that argument is kind of a moot point.
And let's not split hairs, here: Chobot isn't an actor. She can't act. She has no justification for being given a role that requires her to act. I'm not against "celebrity" actors voicing characters, provided they can actually manage it. Chobot can't, and her delivery is generally awful as a result. And hey, that's fine! Not everyone is an actor, after all, let alone an actually convincing one, but that doesn't change anything. She. Can't. Act. So why is she even in the game, again?
As far as Allers as a character goes, eh. She's alright. I don't actively despise her or anything, but good grief is she an utter waste of an opportunity. A reporter on the Normandy had so much potential, and all of it was wasted. She's just effectively someone who adds a few more points onto your war assets and can be slept with. A pointless character.

Sadly, this is probably on Emily Wong's actual tombstone too.

IGN: "No, we're not in bed with EA.At all. We're just looking for our forks under the table every time EA (or hell, any publisher with enough money) sits down with us for a nice, wholesome dinner."
Basically, Allers was an design choice that EA rammed straight up Biowares artistic integrity. And don't kid yourselves, Bioware liked every second of it. I had never heard of Chobot before ME3, and i am sure this ain't her fault, but i nevertheless will hate her for all time for being the reason Emily Wong died in a BLOODY TWITTER FEED.

I hadn't heard of her either. This isn't really a new concept to Mass Effect for me, I've been introduced to quite a few good actors through Mass Effect before; Jennifer Hale, Mark Meer, Yvonne Strahvoski.
But, now, She'll forever be remembered as that girl from Mass Effect 3 who couldn't VA for s***.
