I use Bigpond for ISP. ADSL2+ wireless Thomson TG782T model router. My question is how I go about porting for ME3 MP for this particular router.

I can't seem to connect to people from my origin list, get dc'd all the time and it's starting to take it's toll. Does anyone else have the same setup as I do and what have you done in terms of opening ports and such.

There was a thread in the PC Tech section about using a seperate program to find a better DNS server (http://social.biowar.../index/11207704 ) which I tried, but it says to manually change the DNS settings for your router. The thing is, apparently the settings on my particular router are hardwired in there and can't be changed.

Anyone had any luck with the ports and such and wouldn't mind sharing your knowledge with this simpleton?

I think the DNS post was for the windows box itself. The hosts file adds hardwired name to address pairs.

The game itself requires two UDP ports, 5659 and 6000.

DNS probably is not an issue, but it would possibly speed up DNS response even if not; the disadvantage is that if the IP address ever changed, you'd have the wrong one.
