For all the James haters out there, I can see why people might not like him, but boring? Not in the least. Especially with his ongoing macho-marine banter with Cortez and borderline insubordinate attitude towards Shepard. He was a lot less boring than Jacob, who always game off as a bit too dour to me.
And I agree with an earlier post about how absurd it was for Miranda being left out in the cold. Given her former ties to Cerberus, she would have been a valuable asset on board the Normandy. From a tactical standpoint, it made no sense for Miranda to go it alone after having gone through a whole suicide mission with Shep's crew in any tactical sense, Cerberus was already at odds with Shep by ME 3, so why not throw in her lot with the Normandy?
But whom on the Normandy would I replace with her? Maybe Javik. He was an unremitting dbaggery, and his militaristic pedantry were getting on my Shep's nerves. And for being the last of the Protheans, he wasn't all that helpful in his tactical knowledge about the Reapers.

Shep wouldn't actually be able to "kick out" EDI, as she's the Normandy! But as for her avatar, yeah, I'd rather have Legion on board and EDI remain as the ship, although maybe without the weirdly vaginal holographic interface.

I liked James, but if HAD to replace someone it would be him, due to the attachment with other characters.
Didn't like Javik to start with but he grew on me, plus he knows the best way about gaining war assets, albeit after you've done it.
I can understand why people wanted Miranda, but she just annoyed the hell out of me with her "Perfect this" and "Genetically modified that". To quote Tali "That Cerberus cheerleader boshtet."

It was too much of a facepalm moment for me when EDI came waltzing out of the core in her new body.

Agreed. Vega turned out much more likable than expected, and he grew on me, but I wouldn't hesitate a second in ditching him for another squad member.

Yeah, maybe a bit too much genome naval gazing there, but I'm a sucker for anyone that looks out for family (even ones that are genetic clones).

That was the only thing I actually liked about her.

You know what? I'll just go replay ME2
lol I actually ended up doing just that. I'd pretty much swap Allers for anyone, she was ok and all but seemed like a waste of space she didn't really do much

And I would switch EDI for Legion anytime.
Also Tali for Grunt or Mordin. ME:s "women" seem have the ability to ****** me off.

EDI (her body is ridiculous, otherwise I like her) for Jack/Kasumi
Traynor for Kelly

If we could chose two then I would swap EDI as a companion (keep her in the Normandy) for either Legion or Zaeed.

Diana Allers for Conrad Verner.
You don't understand! He's a man on the EDGE!
Squaddies:
James for Zaeed. Then we could all be goddamn heroes... Again.
Jack is where she's doing the most good. Wrex is needed where he is. Grunt- I'd want him on board and yet- no. Somehow I figure with a true Krogan on board it would only take a bit of time before I was having Javik scrapped/mopped from the floors/walls.
Miranda- never cared. Jacob- never cared.
But even without shoving someone Legion and Samara would be sound additions. More than enough room.
Oh, and keep EDI on- Aside from Joker's having had blue balls for far too long. She earned her place for this:
*click!*
'Commander?'
*click!*
'Must we?'
*click!*
'Very well then...' *sighs*
*bleep!*
'Probing Uranus...'

Any of my ME2 squad members would be prefferable, but I have to admit,if I was to choose only one, that would definately be the hottest human in the trilogy, MIRANDA!!!

Jack is way hotter than Miranda, jsut sayin'. Miranda needs some dental work.
