If we're sticking to ME3's new party members, I'd render EDI's bot non functional and bring Miranda aboard - Cerberus is the enemy, and its former number two has to have valuable intel to give us. Plus, she'd have access to Liara, the Shadow Broker, who could do a lot to help her find her sister. Win-win.

If it's any ME3 party member, then I'd leave Tali on Rannoch after the conclusion. She gets a very good ending there, and very little additional interaction on the Normandy that there wouldn't be much missed.

I would lose Kaidan/Ash
I would take Miranda

I find both Kaidan and Ash to be dull, though better then they were in ME1. Miranda was my LI and when I saw that Cerberus was really going wild I thought it would be interesting to see how the Cerberus Cheerleader handled that.

Vega for Miranda

Vega's an alright guy but he has no real purpose in ME3 for me. His importance ends when he crashes into Eva's shuttle.

I'd have maybe suggested Jack, but I like her role as a teacher and her relationship with her students. Not sure at this point if she'd leave them to join back up with Shepard. So since I can't have her back on the team I'd go for Miranda. Was hoping pre-me3 that her involvement with Cerberus would be substantial, but turns out she was mostly focused on her sister and father again. Also the end of ME2 teased a sort of change in her for the better. I would have liked to have seen her grow as a character, because she had a lot of potential.

Give me a choice to activate EDI's body or kill her permanently (hey it's gonna happen at the end anyway) and then trade in for Miranda. Miranda is not my favorite ME2- that would be Mordin, Grunt, Thane or Jack. But she is the most driven to fight the Reapers so she deserves the spot. She even quits Cerberus over the Collector Base decision. Going into ME3 I thought for sure she would be on the ship to help welcome you home.

ashley for miranda. atleast miranda isnt pigeon holed into an all out anti cerberus babble mouth.

vega for grunt. i like vega. it just makes sense to me to have a krogan squadmate.

prothy for a more interesting prothy. im not sure how a prothean can be uninteresting, but bioware accomplished that.

EDI for anyone else. what is EDI doing in my squad? seriously?

.....i just spent all of ME2 recruiting the best squad in the entire galaxy, and i end up with newby soldiers and AIs who dont know how to fight.AND NO KROGAN. something is not right with the ME3 squad.

Drop EDI, at least the Eva body. The whole idea was fun, but ultimately irrelevant. She didn't need it to be a more valid character.

Instead I'd take Mordin. I've always found his mindset admirable.

EDI for Zaeed or Grunt. Taking her out from being a squadmate and adding someone else, would take away near nothing from the story while adding more. EDI could have even had her body. =\\

I would kick James Verger... Vay... Vayg.... James, even though he's not that bad in my opinion. I would replace him with Grunt. Because every squad needs a Krogan.
