What's the one low-grade weapon you love using, even though you have better weapons.

Also love the Phaeston... but the Hurricane is just so much better...

Basically everything mentioned here. I don't have just one I use :) [this is mostly because I have all of one two (but I haven't tried the Indra yet) URs, and those at I, but the lower-end weapons are still awesome.]

Mattock
Phaeston
Scimitar
Katana
Avenger (accuracy could use a boost though)
Shuriken
Mantis
Viper
Eviscerator
Vindicator
Phalanx
Eagle (admittedly less fun due to low damage)

Either the Tempest or the Locust. The Locust is the one that looks like the Hurricane.

Scimitar. Rips things up on gold with my asari vanguard.

The Avenger can definitely pump out lots of rounds and reloads fast, which is nice if you want to spam Concussive Shot and tag a bunch of mobs with, say, cryo ammo.

I love the Phalanx, but the Carnifex has really been growing on me.

Even though I've gotten my Valiant, I will still sometimes go back to the Mantis if I want someone to have a sniper rifle but still have a decent cooldown. Tossing that and the Avenger on a human soldier means quick cooldowns and versatility.

I'm just a big sucker for quick cooldowns, so if a character has any powers I want to use a lot, I'll toss one of these guns on him/her in favor of an arguably better gun.

Vindicator for me. Its my go-to for having fun. Completely under-rated gun, especially after suffering that unnecessary nerf all those months ago...

Same here, it's my default AR (though I haven't unlocked the Harrier yet). The Vindicator's steady, light weight, has a decent ammo supply (I'm talking about the X version), reloads instantly, and is effective with either three round bursts or sustained fire. The only knock on it imo is that it's not a great weapon for taking down heavies, or at least not without amp and ammo consumables.

Edit: the Locust is my favorite SMG and I use it as my secondary weapon on almost all characters (X version with ultra light materials is virtually weightless).

Evis, Schimitar, Phalanx, Vindicator, Viper, and Tempest. I do enjoy a Mantis X every now and then.

Mattock

Didn't think that one was considered low-grade? Image IPB

Well it sucks imo, so I consider it low-grade. :D

*strokes Mattock* Don't you listen to him, Jessie, he just doesn't understand how to use you properly...

All kidding aside, I do agree the Mattock takes getting used to and, even then, is probably an acquired taste. I slaughter with mine, but then again I have had a LOOOOOOT of practice with getting it good.

Jessie is am Avanger... :P

Yes, I know this. Image IPB But I adopted the name to convey how much my Mattock means to me, figuring folks could draw the appropriate parallels. Image IPB

I loved to bring my Avenger or Phaeston to the fore sometimes. They're light and reliable.

Or were, before the recent and successive health buffs to all enemies. Now I fall back to the heavy shotguns and the Harrier 2.

I'm glad the gun works for you. :)

So, have you unlocked her little sister yet? Harrier the Harriet can reaaaaally sing some notes with lasting impact. Love how she rocks in my arms as I lay down the law!

;)

I am very fond of Harrier I, I just bemoan the ammo capacity. I pretty much just stick her on my Batarian Soldier and made sure to use the spare ammo in his skill trees. And the spare ammo mod.

But I just burn through the ammo too fast with my turian sentinel, who is my main character. Even with short burst-fire. It's like I need to nest on an ammo box the whole round, and that's no fun. And even though the ammo capacity is probably not that far off from the Mattock's own low propensity, the Mattock's fire rate causes me to go through it slower and make every shot count more than the spray of the Harrier.

If the Harrier gets an ammo buff, then she'll be my go-to because she really is a fully automatic big sister of the Mattock. But until then, my Mattock it is. Image IPB

Just wanted to capture this for the +1 to Mattock. Also, Scimitar. With the two guns, my TSo is A-okay. =]

Phalanx, but only as a sidearm on characters where I don't care about cooldowns. Everything else I use is Rare or UR, but really I only use a few guns.

Viper, mostly. Now that I have a harrier, I don't really need to go back to the Mattock at all, but it's definitely one of those guns that's probably better with a mouse than with a controller.

Doesn't ULM only work on the Geth Plasma SMG?

Correct. The ULM is still bugged, but it appears to work in the weapons menu, just not ingame.

Phalanx is my go-to pistol. I've got the carnifex IX, but I just don't like it. It fires too slowly for my liking, whereas I can pump out lots of shots with the little phalanx. I like the mattock too, for its lovely fire rate.

So many better things, but this is great.
