Just wondering if anyone else experienced this, but during my second playthrough the Carnifex didn't show up in Gellix. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this? I searched the forums, but no one seems to have had posted anything about this.

I'm on a second playthrough and the Carnifex didn't show either during the N7 rescue mission. For some reason its unavailable to upgrade past level 5, making it useless when playing on insanity. It doesn't seem to be a wide spread problem considering it took 5 months get a response to your question.

I'm pretty sure I've upgraded my Carnifex to lvl X..

During a second playthrough, all your weapons can be upgraded to lvl X. The Carnifex is the only weapon that isn't available to upgrade. I think its most likely due to replacing the hard drive in my PS3.

The Carnifex? You can upgrade the Carnifex to 10, and you should find it wherever you found it before if it's not at max level already.
The Predator is the one that can't be upgraded to 10, because Anderson handing it to you doesn't count as 'finding' it.

I never found it again in NG+, but after doing that mission I could just buy the remaining levels at the store.
