I had 11 grenades on my soldier instead of usual 7, This occured in 1 mission after I got perma equipment pack of +5 grenades. I have normally 2 grenades on my build. It was 6 before, 7 now and 11 in that particular case just after upgrading. My theory is that right after upgrade the game keeps both perma equipments on your character +4 and +5 in this case.  re-equipping may or may not fix that and in any case it lasts for just one game. before I had similar thing with my quarian and 9 grenades [or 8 not sure] probably when I upgraded from +3 to +4 or from +2 to +3. Due to the nature of the bug its possible that the game does that for EACH perma equipment when ypu get an upgrade and dont reequip it. However its only visible on grenades due to lack of any hard data.

Bottom line - players get free exploit for 1 mission whenever they upgrade grenades and maybe every single other permanent equipment pack

BW - gets nice data from me and they can check and fix that.

If anyone can tell if that occured to them with grenades or any other equipment, then do so. I know its hard to test it with anything else then grenades but you can try.
