The whole point of this thread was to make an alternate timeline. What if other alien races so potential in human uprising. so they figure it's best to control them now before they get to an equal level.

Asari or Quarians would be fun. But since their the least likely to invade, it is probably much more likely that the Turians or the Krogan would actually invade.

Asari= They would invade and offer a peaceful surrender, they would announce to annex Earth and assimilate humans as 3rd maybe 2nd class citizens. Of course we would rebel in 2012, America is already in 5 wars. So we would fight and the Asari would just keep stepping on us until we submit.
Quarians= They would be somewhat peaceful about invasion. Offer to share technology, but we would have to be their workers
Turian= Would flat out just invade and only methods are surrender or die
Salarians= I imagine them being the only peaceful aliens. They would love to share scientific facts and really help us get up there in the universe.

They'd experiment on us like we were lab rats. If not that, any tech and information they gave to us would be enough to make us useful but not enough to make us a threat. They're users; the smartest and most dangerous of that whole bunch.
