Just restarted ME's trilogy... which LI gives the best/interesting experience?

I recently (as of today) restarted the Mass Effect trilogy, with a brand new Shepard (male). For the most part, I never really paid attention to the in game dialogue with LIs, just wanted the achievements. However, now that I don't have much else to do, I'd like to go back and get the true ME experience. I was wondering which romance option was "the best" in terms of excitement, conversation, and overall feel. I've always been attracted to Ashley, I love strongheaded women IRL, but she is extremely stale in the third installment. I've been considering Tali, but she seems... stale, and boring in all the games but the first. Liara has really piqued my interest too, but Ashley always seemed a better choice. I've heard Jack has some interesting going-ons as a LI, but she's... well... Jack. And Miranda... let's face it, she tries too hard to be perfect and it just gets annoying. Her good looks are the only reason anyone is attracted to her.
So which do you think is the best choice? Thanks for reading!
P.S. (Not really interested in a Kaiden or Cortez romance, sorry!)

If you are asking for bland amount/quality of content, then go for Liara.

Liara isn't my Shepard's type of girl, let's just say.
But if you're looking for the best experience choose Liara... obviously. She gets far more attention and loves Shepard no matter what you do anyway. She'll always show up, take the spot light, and at least talk.

Also, the game almost pretty much makes her the canon LI, and if you stick with her through all 3 games it will be a really rewardeding experience.
Ashley to me was cool, but a little too anti-alien and I don't really prefer tomboyish women.

All the romance options great. I prefer Liara and Tali myself. But Miranda and Jack are excellent as well. I actually like every romance option in the trilogy but Jacob and Ashley. Ash I only dislike because like you said she's stale in ME3. It's all about personal taste really. Still think Liara and Tali are the best.
I agree completely. I also chose Liara in the first, and then Tali in the last two, but I can see how people like Jack and Miranda. But... Ashley is (in my opinion) annoying and she REALLY does not like you in the third game, especially if you cheat on her. Of course you could just kill her on Virmire or the Citadel

Lol that's exactly what's happening in my next playthrough. Time to give Kaidan his time to shine in ME3

Did not know she was an LI option.Mr. Big Pimpin wrote...
I think Diana Allers is probably right up your alley, OP.
I'm really looking for one major romance option though. So once I pick her, that's it. Like if I pick Tali, I'm not romancing anyone in ME1 to avoid the whole "cheating" mess.

If you are just looking for sheer brute force content I suggest Liara.. writers have a raging hard on for Liara. Hell even if she's NOT your LI they have her crawling all over you in ME3.

I won't make a suggestion, I think it's best just to play and listen then choose for yourself. Beware though, if you talk to both Ashley and Liara, you eventually have to choose between the two.

I will make sure Tali dies in my next ME2 playthrough, just for you. *kisses*
On topic: Liara is quite simply the best romance spanning the trilogy, assuming you will be playing the LotSB DLC in ME2. Noone else's romance can compare in quality or quantity. Garrus (for a femShep, of course) runs a close second.

Nope. My Shep constantly rejects Tali and then she takes a rocket to the face. He'd romance TIM before he'd romance Tali. Or even Harbinger.

Liara isn't well-done in ME1, but is excellent in ME2 and ME3. She is the only character you can romance in all three games. I think it's heavily implied she is supposed to be "The" love interest for Shepard. In ME1 she's just awkward, but later she becomes independent and just a little bit ruthless. And she cares about Shepard dearly. Oh, and she's a genius.
And Tali is just plain adorable. She's a genius too, but for the first couple games (especially the first one) is a bit naive and nervous. She's one of those characters who makes you go "Awww" 'cause she's written to be nervous and cute. And she a bit obsessed with Shepard, actually - she believes strongly in what he's doing and who he is. She looks up to him. And she can be feisty when she wants to be.

Wow, not only are you wrong, but you're actively killing your credibility at the same time.
