Where did the whole Tranny thing come from? Did someone say it on 4chan or something, and then people just decided to roll with it? If she's a Tranny then she's the hottest Tranny i've ever seen.

From what I gathered, Stanley Woo one of the Dragon Age mods here said it. Maybe that explains why he’s not around anymore LOL. Besides, he’s not a developer.

I'd like to know where a service man 3rd class got the cash to feed a family of six (including himself) and change his son into a woman. Can a parent even do that? xD

It’s obviously not true, people just decided to roll with it. I guess the same could be said for the whole ‘space racist’ thing.

Oh for...The hair isn't stupid because its impractical (which it is) or ugly (which it is) but because most militaries don't want their female members looking like Bangkok streetwalkers (which Ashley now does).Ditto with the 'uniform'.At least she was wearing armor in ME1, fugly as the color scheme was.

Well, she doesn't look like a hooker, but as you said, it's quite impractical to have a hairstyle like this. Especially since Ashley is a sniper AND needs a free vision.

I rather would have seen her opening her hair in the romantic scenes or when she's clearly off-duty, but in combat, I'd have loved to see her ol' bun again. It proves BW was kinda lazy to create two separate heads or hairstyles for Ashley. On the other hand, none of the other characters had two different hairstyles or heads to display. I'm not sure if it's possible to replace the hairstyle for Ash by importing the old hairstyle from ME1/2. It -should- be possible and someone should try it out.

I only hate her clothes.

It should be thrown out of the airlock along with Bioware's artistic vision.

Well, we could mod the game so Ash wears the standard female officer uniform. And MAYBE there's even a smart guy that's able to import the original Phoenix Armor ... ^^

To be honest, I never liked that armor.

Looked so, not something soldier would wear.

My kneejerk dissatisfaction from the redesign is like everyone has said: tailoring Ashley into the sexier Miranda niche in a way that feels untrue, both to Ashley's established personality and her role in the military.

But after played the game, it then became sort of a cherry on top of a deeper problem. In 6 months between Horizon and bumping into Ash in Vancouver, she had a serious overhaul into this secondary Miranda role. It was abrupt and without context of what happened to Ash to mold her into this officer.

The redesign on top of Ashley's subpar dialogue throughout ME3 sort of degraded my fondness for her character overall in some ways. But there were some redeeming aspects.

I loved Ashley's redesign. I liked her old look too but the Virmire survivors definitely needed an improvement for the final installment. Their looks had gotten too bland. If there is anything to complain about it was deviating from their characters.

Ashley was no longer a religious human nationalist and Kaidan was suddenly gay. Those things bothered me a lot more.

Oh horror, a military woman who looks like a military woman instead of a prostitute or a beauty pageant (another form of prostitute).

It came off as one of those ME3 character changes that just didn't seem true to the character. She looks good, but it never seemed that Ash would fuss over her looks like ME3 Ash seems to. And ME3 Ash also just seems to have lost some of her sass.

Agree with the zookeeper. I like her new look, and she's still my favorite squaddie (once I convince her I'm not with cerberus), but she did lose a bit of her "Ashness" (for lack of a better word) from the first game. I liked the character who was a duty-first soldier who had no problem shooting Wrex in the back if it came to it (and don't blame her, it's your fault for not having high enough conversation points), was religious, and had a strong personality and didn't care what anyone (nonshep) thought of her.

Also, the dancing was fun.

But she's still awesome.

Her ****** are bigger than ever, her face has more make up than before and skin tight suit that really show off her "asset" like a certain someone else from ME2.

Sure, Ash's redesign is hot. No one can really deny that.

However it doesn't feel like Ash, at least not ME1 Ash. She was rough, tomboyish, 'straight up hitter' and 'wouldn't be seen dead in a dress'. The romance scene was one of the few times she really was damn sexy.

Then ME3, she has a skirt on one set of armour and her boobs are generally on show. Even in the hospital, where it should be a humanizing moment for her where you connect to the character - she is in a thong and really tight shirt that makes her boobs look huge, rather than hospital scrubs. I just laughed and laughed during that scene. Then cried. Ash is dead.

Yeah that sounds about as likely as a Knights of the Old Republic III being released on consoles.

Someone else who shows they have no idea of the difference between gay and bisexual. :wizard:

Her overhaul was part of a much bigger picture that represented a change (for the worse, in my opinion) to the direction of Mass Effect. It boiled down to aesthetics over complexity and as a direct result boobs got bigger, asses rounder, dialogue automatic and everything became more linear.

I like her blue armor.  That can stay.

But I'd love to get her in a real Alliance uniform like Traynor and femShep wear.
