It is utter nonsense... and if she was a transwoman... well she would still be a woman, just not cisgender.

Reading those kind of comments it makes me wish BioWare makes a real strong TG character (no a joke like the prostitue on DA2.. that was insulting)

Well, maybe next time, Baronesa. 'though I'm no transphobe I'm glad my favorite LI is what she appears to be.

Let's say if BW introduces a transgender character, they definitely should state it clearly at a point, maybe in the final talk that locks in a romance (but BEFORE the player gets locked in). Pretty much like in ME3 with Steve Cortez - if you aren't into gay romances, you can avoid it. Even without being an ass to Cortez.

I like that guy. Reminds me a bit of a gay buddy. ^^

Honestly, the hate over the redesign is a little petty IMO. They didn't actively make her look WORSE, and her personality remains intact. What's the problem?

Her personality got a huge dent since a lot of stuff we know of her never made it into ME3. Her love for poetry isn't that prominent anymore, her family suddenly exists of Sarah only, and she's no longer religious (that particular dialogue got cut before the release).

Yeah, if anything, most Ashmancers are more annoyed at the personality change (or omissions, since I like to assume she's still religious and stuff).  The looks aren't that big of a deal.

Not really. Miranda is ex-Cerberus. Apart from that, I think their personalities would conflict in a number of categories.
