So Bioware has made a lot of RPG's with different settings.

KOTOR, Mass Effect Trilogy - Science-Fiction 'Space-Operas'

Dragon Age - Medieval Fantasy

Jade Empire - Martial-Arts themed fantasy set in China.

and many more!

However...the one thing I want Bioware to do more than anything else is make a game with a Pirate theme!

Set in the Caribbean seas or a completely made-up world.

You still have the three main RPG 'classes' (rogue, warrior, mage)

Swords for melee combat

Guns (pistols, rifles, muskets) for ranged-combat :bandit:

Voodoo for magic-casting. :wizard:

Gameplay involves having a ship and sailing and exploring new places. A bit like Wind Waker but with bigger islands and faster or a more fun way to sail between them.

If Bioware were to announce a game like this...
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY BIOWARE!

It is a good game. It feels like a Piranha Bytes game which is great. (Gothic). But, due to stupid metrics and "the way of the audience", combat has been dumbed down to the point of stupidity. It still has the humor and great characters that I always loved in PB games.

One that isn't focused on waifu / husbando, has competent writing with branching narrative--which hasn't been done by BW yet.

That's about as likely as Square making a Final Fantasy that doesn't revolve around coming of age stories with androgynous ladyboys and villains who want to destroy everything.

Bioware would take a simple Pirate story such as finding booty and make it about saving the world and getting married.

I would like to see a studio make a pirate rpg that takes itself seriously though until then I have Sid Meier's Pirates. Also have you ever heard of Mount and Blade? The team is working on making their own open world pirate rpg.

I'd love to see actual multiplayer missions that play in the spirit of Mass Effect (instead of a horde/firefight knockoff), such as multiplayer story with group dialog choices and branching consequences/story based not only on those decisions but also the in-game actions of your group members. Missions similar in format to those in 2 and 3 could easily be made multiplayer and given group dialog options and such. TOR's already done it with flashpoints.

Let's say there was a multiplayer-only ME, and say... one of the storylines, you could play as a group of Cerberus operatives attacking someplace with civilians. There could be civilian NPCs mixed in with hostile/objective NPCs. Something along the lines of the Feros mission in ME1, but not so easy. Other possibilities for gameplay (instead of cutscene choices) to affect story is perhaps enemies can be wounded/disabled/knocked out by doing things like shooting them in the legs/arms or meleeing them and whether you capture or kill certain targets could lead to different outcomes. Or perhaps there are even missions that could be achieved by AVOIDING combat/detection, and cause a different story outcome.

Other interesting possibilities might be options to turn on your squadmates. Shooting one of your comrades because they're going to kill someone in cold blood (or perhaps killing them because they disagree with you wanting to kill someone in cold blood) would be very dramatic storywise, and a new twist on both story based games and PvP/multiplayer games.

Something that takes place in a modern(or nigh-modern) setting. Say, a high-schooler RPG that throws in some serious moral dilemmas(both in and out of the school), A dash of american beauty with a pinch of bully.

Having said that, it'll never happen. Both you(to whomever may be reading this) and I know that. More medieval, more sci-fi, and so on.

I'd love to see them take on the Arcanum IP or similar style universe were magic and science co-exist but are in constant struggle with each other .

I'd like to see them have some balls and make a real mature game for once and not a teen drama in the middle of a child's fantasy book. Maybe a nice noire detective rpg that's well written and feels like a Humphrey Bogart movie.

That and a Jack and Thane spinoff. I'd like to see how they would play off each other.

I would like to see that as well.

But otherwise one that focuses 100% on singleplayer (and I NEVER want to see multiplayer mess with singleplayer again like the galactic readiness nonsense). Tactical instead of twitchy. Complete character customization. Of course it should keep the focus on party members as BioWare always does.

Storywise it should be more nuanced than simply saving the world. Could be a new setting, but it doesn't have to be new. Could be simply a new story in the Mass Effect universe for example. There's plenty of room for that.

Never going to happen. MAYBE a Garris spin-off, but even then, unlikely. The problem being all of these people. An be dead based the Suicide Mission in ME2. The only people that could be safe would be the Vrimire Survivor (ironic, because either of them could be dead and makes it hard to make stand-alone content for), James Vega and Liara. None which sound good as a stand-alone, since we already have had Shadow Broker DLC.

A truly mature game like The Witcher (uncensored, damn americans) and TW2, set in the Dragon Age universe.

We already have Bethesda making great open world games, there's no need for Bioware to do that. I want something different.

Another game like Dragon Age: Origins but even more hardcore like Baldur's Gate. Make it where you have to rest and eat occasionally, add a massive world to freely explore, add choices and consequences which truly impact the plot and have real-time action combat but have it based heavily on statistics akin to Dark Souls. Oh and of course, have it party-based...
I doubt Dragon Age 3 will be like this though. I doubt Bioware will even ever create such a game again.

Don't forget about knights too! A knight with a shot-gun and a two handed sword? Yeah, I'd buy that if it was done well.

Steam punk. And take out the gritty. We've seen enough of it lately. Of course there can be handled mature themes and violence in combat, but not the 'mature'-mark which has been stamped on every movie, game and tv series in the last couple of years.

Except the Ebon Hawke/Party Camp/Mansion an airship would do. Airship pirates anyone?

I'm already convinced it will happen.

What I want is irrelevant.  I knos its pointless to wish for it.  I just want them to do what made me fall in love with them inthe first place but thats so obviously asking too much.
