As you can probably see, I prefer the large, open maps vs. Cerberus or Reapers. More confined maps are good for speedruns, but when they go bad it happens fast and without much warning; the larger maps make for slightly longer play with a better margin for error, since you can often take out the boss units from a distance or at least have warning before they close with you.

Geth are always groan-worthy, and occasionally cause for the kind of shouting and cursing that makes my cats hide behind the couch.

Groan: Reapers - Glacier because it is usually gonna be ugly. Geth-Reactor Just seems to go sideways a lot. I'd also say that Geth vs Asari Adept makes me groan. That $%^#$ hop is insanely effective at making my combo detonations miss.

Most of the rest aren't that bad IF people can control spawn points. Hydra can go south fast if people start at the LZ/Blockhouse and then leave and you get spawns in the LZ that hit your snipers point blank and trap the rest in the low ground. If not, the map has great killing zones and is pretty darn easy.

Imho i love all of the map/enemy combinations. what makes me gringe is people who **** their pants and panic if they get a certain map/enemy combo and lose their **** and drag the team down.

I have to agree with everyone about Hydra/Geth and Hydra/Reapers. That map sort of just sucks in general most of the time. One thing I notice about Hydra is that it's the map on which a good team makes more of a difference than any other. It's really hard to compensate for bad teammates there, more so than for example Goddess, Glacier or Jade.

Condor/Reapers I guess isn't that bad, since it's easy to avoid magnet hands there. On the other hand, it tends to throw a wrench in grenade strategies, which are my favorite way of taking down the Reaper heavies.

Wow we are of the same mind, completely. Condor/Geth/Gold with my Drell Adept has to be the worst matchup of all my frequently played classes.

Geth/Hydra is also somewhat of a nightmare, but not so much for me because again, I play mostly Tech classes.

Ah don't worry I'm on it! Rule #1 of facing Reapers: When Banshees show up, hunt down the Marauders!

We've had a few nightmarish games on Jade, too...though more for me than you

Condor/Geth, Jade/Geth, Jade/Reapers and Reactor/Reapers are pretty bad and I don't like getting them.

Jade has virtually no chokepoint that a Prime can't hit you from or that gets you surrounded quickly with hunters and pyros. It always seems while I'm fighting in 1 direction, I get shot in the **** from another direction.

Groan :: Hydra/geth :: open map means RTs and Primes can cause constant havoc providing distraction for Pyro/Hunter zergs.
Dagger/all :: a slow-paced map with bugged AI paths. Players sometimes never leave those windows in the main building making obj. rounds difficult.
Reactor/geth/cerberus :: for those cursed upload obj. rounds in the center of the map.
