Hi,

About a year and half ago I purchased DA2 on a cd.  After it was installed, I finished the original game along with all the extra quests (Legacy, Prince, etc).  This was done on the latest Mac notebook of that time.

Just recently I purchased a new MAC desktop and want to transfer DA2 to it.   When I emailed EA, they said I can manually "remove the game from the old MAC and install the game onto the new console."  But as for all the DLCs, they cannot be moved.

Does anybody has any suggestions or ideas for my DLCs?  I don't want to lose them.

Thanks!

I'm having the same issue as I had the windows version, but now I'm on mac. I believe that there is Legislation being passed in Europe at the moment to enforce transferrable assets i.e. downloaded games and keycodes :D

If you registered your game your DLCs should show up on you bioware account for download.

On this site, under your portrait to the left. Click on "My Games" then "registered game content" you should be able to DL some of the items. Also when you log into your game when starting it for the first time you have a menu. One of which is "downloadable content". You should be able to reinstall all your expansions from there.

Important though.  If you have the space take your entire DragonAge II folder from "documents/Bioware/DragonAge II" and save that.  If not, make sure you take your "Saved characters" files from your "Documents/Bioware/DragonAge/Characters" and move them to desktop.  Also take all from your "Packages" and "Addins" files as this will save all your specialized content you might have downloaded (like hair and makeup).  Move them to a flash drive so you can import them to your new computer and game.

Keep your old Mac just to be sure that everything goes smoothly.

Good and comprehensive advice from PsychaDurmot.

I always thought you had to un-authorize your game on the old computer, but DA2 (unlike DA:O) doesn't have that option...

Sorry, I was on vacation and couldn't respond earlier.

I'll give it a try, PsychaDurmot. Thanks for the answer.
