Data Pad App unable to connect to servers (Now Online!)

The last few days I've been trying to make my bi-daily Data App updates, to maintain a 100% readiness rating, I have been unable to do so.

The error is:
Mass Effect tim 3 Datapad requires an Internet connection.  Please ensure you are connected to the Internet and try again.

I know I am connected to the internet.  I succesfully logged in , and can browse other updates as well.  (Well, it has trouble following twiter links sometimes, and messages from the crew has been broken for about a month).

Has anybody else had trouble with the "Galaxy at war" feature of the Datapad App?
I've purchased all the upgrades, and ended up with about 1.1 million banked.  I don't know if the issue is that I've hit a limit, or more universal, or something else entirely.

Update (2012-07-09):
-Galaxy at War is back online.
-Crew Messages are still down.

Yep, had this for a few days now. I thought maybe the PS3 update was overloading the servers, but that should have died down by now.  And likewise, the crew messages packed up after my third playthrough a while back.

Yeah, I'm also unable to connect go the Galaxy at War function. Which is frustrating as I'm on vacation right now and really didn't want to lose my 100% readiness rating in the process.

And yep, no crew messages for a while now.

Yep my wife and I have been unable to connect to the map for about 3 days. Highly annoying.

ME3 MP servers have been horribly unstable for weeks.
More importantly, the BSN Galaxy at war status is lagging behind for a couple of days now too, the App has been down for the same amount of time and in Single Player the game has definite issues retrieving your readiness % and N7 bonus EMS.

I would think, while the app would never have priority over the rest, the problems tie together.
And seeing those issues DO have priority, it's just a matter of time.

same thing. even tried reinstalling the app, it didn't work.

Thought I was the only one having that problem but it seems that I'm not alone in this...anyway, emailed the EA support, for whatever good that could bring...

Looks like it is back up and running now. I've got about 14% in catchup to do now! :mellow:

Thank you all for letting us all know it was a global issue, and not isolated to each of us individually!

Yes I can confirm it works, as of 12:20 GMT+8.

It might be impossible in practice, but it'd be nice if those tech people can tell us what caused such long downtime.

And now it doesn't...did we flooded the servers made it crashed or the "working" time is just a flash in the pants...?

Working again here, both galaxy-map and the messaging system.

MwRDKY: "Something went boom."

In all seriousness though, it's safe to assume something died on them, or stopped working optimally. If they switched to a backup or were running on faulty hardware untill they could fix / replace the connection issues would be logical enough. What exactly went boom matters little in the end.

Yep - things are running smooth again! Had a fair old backlog of emails to get through but it (the outage) was no real biggie - glad it's sorted though!

As of 09/24/12 the galaxy at war portion only is down again. Thus no updates can be made to your readiness rating. Hopefully it will be looked at by EA shortly.
