All the generations are equally awesome.

Though Gen V does have its craptastic pokemon. Seriously, whoever came up with the Ice Cream pokemon must've been high on marijuana at the time.

The only other generation that had good Pokemon IMHO was Gen IV - Garchomp especially was a BAMF.

But G/S/C were the best games, hands down - most of the Gen II Pokemon were kick ass, plus you had all of the bad asses from Gen I on top of that... and you could go back to freakin' Kanto! Two entire regions for the price of one. You also didn't have to worry about these blasteds IVs, EVs, Natures, and all of that tripe like in the last three generations.

And really I think Gen 5 has more good Pokémon than bad.

@greengoron89 IVs, EVs and Natures are for the meta-game/hardcore players. 

Anyway at least all the games past Gen 2 have better AI.:P

Man I forgot about Marowak.. badass pokemon. Uses the skull of its dead mother as a helmet, total badass.

I can't remember my teams. I know I tried to only use 4 pokemon, and then 2 for HM stuff.

Gen1: Venusaur, Jolteon, Starmie and Gyrados
Gen2: Typhlosion, Espeon, Gyrados and Marowak

I want to play gen5 cus of new zone and new pokes, but some of the designs seem weird -- maybe ill buy it and borrow my gf's ds for a weekend.

Come now, "these days"? Don't you remember those old fairy tales? A grandmother being eaten by a wolf, who then assumes her identity so it can devour the granddaughter as well? An old witch who captures, cooks, and cannibalizes children?

That's some pretty gruesome stuff, y'know. I think pitting animals against each other in battle for amusement, profit, and personal glory is pretty tame by comparison.
