I'd say this, Magikarp is the best pokemon by far.

The words epic battle should not be used in something without blood, someone dying or even real pain.
Oxymoron much?

Someone please link the clip of Lt. Surge's Raichu destroying Pikachu which forces him to consider taking steroids (thunderstone) so he can evolve!
Man, Surge's voice actress was sure great.
@Rockworm503 there was blood, death and real pain, you just can't see it.:innocent:

I would but all I can find on youtube is the videos with crappy music covering over it, one of the most annoying things possible on youtube is that, people ruining something good and original with their crap music at full blast.
But I did laugh when I remembered Lt.Surge's voice in the cartoon. "RAICHU, USE A DUNDERBOLT!!!"
also that pic, jesus christ how horrifying, I've seen enough pokemon creepypasta for one lifetime.

LOL. It's not like breaking Rule 34 is an unusual thing on this forum - just visit any of the numerous <insert Bioware character here>, err... "appreciation" threads. My reactions in order.
New to the internet I take it?
Hang around it long enough and nothing will phase you anymore.
New? No no. Those were my reactions first time around.

sometimes even as low as one as you could KO every trainer and gym leader you came across with one, uberpowerful Pokemon as long as you picked the right one.
That was exactly my strategy. Though I used a Pidgey to Fly.

Just realised we've seen Kanto what, 4 times now?
First in R/G/B/Y, second in G/S/C, third in FR/LG and fourth in HG/SS. We should be able to revisit Hoenn or Sinnoh in B/W2.
You'll get to battle past gym leaders and Champions, IIRC. That's almost as badass as revisiting the regions themselves.
I'm looking forward to B2/W2 for many reasons, two being the thing I just said but also to see how their original story pans out. It's supposed to be really different from previous games in terms of storyline.
Pokemon's storyline has generally been the same: Collect badges and Pokemon/defeat evil organization. Different in how it's presented, but generally the same type of thing.

You also didn't have to worry about these blasteds IVs, EVs, Natures, and all of that tripe like in the last three generations.
I liked that addition. It really prompts a person to train their Pokemon to the fullest, which for me makes it feel slightly more like the Pokemon anime world.
If Pokemon were real, I'd make sure all of my Pokemon were trained to top condition.
But they're not real!

That's some pretty gruesome stuff, y'know. I think pitting animals against each other in battle for amusement, profit, and personal glory is pretty tame by comparison.
Especially when it's the Pokemon themselves that want to do battle and aren't being forced to. At least in the anime, though the games may have touched upon this sometimes -- in fact, I believe Black and White did with Zekrom's and Reshiram's backstory.
Unsurprisingly though, PETA threw a tantrum back when Pokemon first came out -- or not long after anyway.

Ah, right - I forgot about HM mules. I did keep two of those around for the sole purpose of cutting, flying, whirlpooling, waterfalling, and all of that useless crap that would've otherwise ruined the movesets of my other Pokemon.

The correct term for what you are talking about is....
*makes finger pyramid to make himself look sophisticated*
....HM who*e.
I did the same thing with Bibarel in Gen IV. He literally only exists to know the HM moves that serve no purpose being on my team's diverse moveset.

Man I forgot about Marowak.. badass pokemon. Uses the skull of its dead mother as a helmet, total badass.
Actually, if I'm remembering the Pokedex entries right, it's Cubone that wears the skull of its dead mother. Marowak's head sort of fused with the skull I believe.
Which could be said to be the same thing, really. So never mind.

Also, I forgot that IVs were actually in Gen I and II as well - but I can deal with those.

Or spending hours upon hours fishing for Gyrados in an area, only to barely find any. I swear, I think the devs made it so that if you go EV hunting the Pokemon appearance rate will change accordingly.
I trained some of my Pokemon to have awesome attack EVs, but I didn't know if they were done or if I had more. I must've beaten 150 or so Gyarados at that point. So I'm fishing for more Gyarados to get some attack EVs, but none can be found!
Either I whittled them down to no longer appearing, or they wised up and didn't want to mess with me.
But I couldn't really find any more other then the occasional one after that.
