I'm a big fan of this guy. He's been my main Pokemon in Fire Red so far.

Eevee and all its evolutions, Luxray, Gardevoir, Gallade, Charizard, Sceptile, Swampert, Infernape, Serperior. So good.

That's right, I'm daring to bring up some of the newer ones. The original 151 take me only so far. I like the majority of 'em, dammit.

What's the difference between the original Gold/Silver and the new ones? Like, what did they add? I'm a bit nostalgic for the Pokemans and Gold/Silver was my favourite as a child.

They added a bunch of stuff to the battle tower, improved the graphics, added some pokemans I think. I am playing heartgold and it is a lot better than gold because it is pretty much the same game but it isnt like playing tetris.

Oh and HG has Mewtwo

Heart Gold and Soul Silver also have the better AI and gameplay of the new games. Oh and the Pokémon in the front of the party will follow the player like Pikachu did in Yellow.

Crusty use Bullbapedia if you want more info:whistle:

Gold/Silver/Crystal were really great but the remakes are a lot better.

Also, there's this awesome feature where you can actually save your games. It's amazing, I know.

I still keep my original Gold and Silver for old times' sake, though. Lol.

My favorite thing in Gold and Silver was using the timecapsule to trade Pokemon between Red, Blue and Yellow version.

Pikachu, now and forever.

The only Pokemon to ever say "Pickajew" on TV and get away with it.

Most pre Leaf and Fire games have dead batteries now, meaning you cant save or use time of day events anymore. Does Nintendo still do the "Send your cartridge in and get the battery replaced" thing?

I think it's funny that the Pikachu family line did not make it into Black 2 and White 2.=]

@Adugan Some of the old copies still work, but most Ruby and Sapphire copies can't be fixed now, when it comes to the time events.

I don't think Nintendo does that anymore for such old games.

You mean 151. And nope not better times, Psychic type Pokémon were far too strong back then.

It was never possible to capture Mew IIRC.

Hey Mewtwo was way popular back then.I even taught my Gengar to use Psychic. but then came the next batch which was great as well. after that, it went downhill.

You are right but it was still one of the originals.

@Blood-Lord Thanatos What does that have to do with what I said?

Also Pokémon, the critters and the games are better now than they ever were in the past.

I was just agreeing with you. Mewtwo was popular because he was the uber psychic pokemon in the original 151.

But any Psychic type would do the same over powered stuff back then, there was no good Bug types or Bug type moves to deal with them.

The Dark type fixed all of that and nowadays Bug types can deal with them.
