Also Pokémon, the critters and the games are better now than they ever were in the past.

I was just agreeing with you. Mewtwo was popular because he was the uber psychic pokemon in the original 151.

But any Psychic type would do the same over powered stuff back then, there was no good Bug types or Bug type moves to deal with them.

The Dark type fixed all of that and nowadays Bug types can deal with them.

I offer a counter to this: Beedrill using its signature move. worked for me.

You mean Pin Missile? Yes that was the only way to beat Psychic types and even then it's still hard to pull off a win. Also a good reason to have a Jolteon back then, it could use that move as well.

Nope again. Mew glitch anyone? Providing you do it all correctly, the first Pokemon you run into on the route west of Lavender will be a Mew.

Gellade is a lot better than Gardevoir and psychic fighting is an intersting combo and gives it 2 STABs.

After Platinum I got disconnected to the series due to my DS bricking, but now I have a 3DS I'll continue. This was my 3rd Gen team via Emerald, because I can't remember my 4th Gen team for ****. I typically used this against a friend who I used to play pokemans with. I also have a FireRed team but that doesn't see as much action as this group did, nor was it as "battle ready". (Honestly untill Gen 4 I just solo'd all the games with my starter, even Yellow, and built my team up afterwards)

My first, and only Gen 3 shiny. (Considering how rare Ralts were in the first place I was damn happy. No way was I not going to use it.)

Last Pokemans(lol) game I played was Platinum.

Some dude told me to trade him a bunch of early pokemon, you know, the Caterpies and Pidgeys of that generation.

I traded him five of those and my starter pokemon.

He gave me-

And my team in Platinum is crazy as every Pokémon has a different original trainer-







The sixth is usually any of a bunch of legendaries I have.

In all my years of playing the games, I have only ever seen 3 shiny Pokémon and yes one of them would be that Red Gyarados.

When I was younger I came across a couple of shinies but escaped battle from them because I didn't know anything about shinies. Hah.

In Platinum I have a Shiny Mew, Shiny Suicune, my Shiny Eevee evolved into a Shiny Leafeon, and while all of those were either traded to me or acquired through an event, I DID capture my own Shiny Rhyhorn which evolved into a Shiny Rhydon.
