Espeon is my favorite psychic pokemon! Despite how cute it looks, it is a great sweeper and a foce to be recond with.

Is it just me or have fire type starter pokémon gotten worse appearance wise as time has gone on?

I loved Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard, Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion, and Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken.

But what the hell has happened since then? Sheesh.

If I get White, I'm going with Snivy/Servine/Serperior. From Fire to Grass, I would've never believed it, but I just can't see myself getting fire type starters anymore.

Not until they become badasses again.

I hate all of the starters in b&w. they kind of suck gameplay wise and there aren't that aesthetically pleasing. I think Surperior is the best starter but it is like every other grass type pokemon.

Yeah, I much prefer Torterra and Serperior over Infernape and Emboar. The water starters are still pretty good though.

I've only ever used Fire starters, but I don't know how I'll do with Serperior. I may use him/her or replace it eventually with a legendary like I always do.

But hell, in Platinum I didn't even keep my fire starter. Traded it as I talked about earlier. I'm tired of lame fire starters now.

Thats a good thing I think. Means you actually have to think rather than just blaze through the whole game with the first Pokemon you get.

Thats a good thing I think. Means you actually have to think rather than just blaze through the whole game with the first Pokemon you get.

Haha, "blaze" through the game. When you consider that's exactly what I did with my fire types in previous gens, that's hilarious.

and then I added these two to my team and took out sigilyph and ferothorn after beating the elite four.
Hydregon is an absolute beast and he is one of the few good things that came out of this gen.. it is a shame he couldn't learn dark pulse in the game without breeding from a previous gen.

I find it funny that you can even storm through Yellow with the unevolved Pikachu with little thought. The only part that might give you pause is Giovanni.

I surged through Crystal with a Feraligatr in my time too, and may have swept through Platinum with Torterra, albeit not as successfully.

I love my choice spec Hydregon in competitive play!  It makes me smile when someone switches in Ferrothorn, hoping to soak up a draco meteor, only to get hit with a nasty flamethrower.   When smogon put Garchomp in ubers, I had to completely redo my team.  Hydregon has been stuck with me ever since!
