I am quite happy with the Extended Cut. Bioware went out of their way to respond to the fans in a way that no other studio would have. I feel similarly about ME3 Extended Cut as I did the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition films. It makes it richer and more complete, whereas the original versions were great but I still had "qualms". There are ALWAYS things that could be done differently or better but people need to be objective (ie don't place Mass Effect 1 with its huge technical problems and clunky gameplay on a pedestal)

A) Several studios have done this sort of thing before.
B) They didn't do it out of the goodness of their hearts.

I don't agree with B.. to an extent at least. I have a feeling SOMEone at Bioware still cares about us, despite of what was released in March.

Perfect? No, but they're pretty good. If these had been the original endings, the game wouldn't have registered on my rage-ometer at all.

The ending did give me sense of closure and had unique endings that was lacking from the original. IMO, I don't think it was even close to perfect, but hardly any games have perfect endings. I wish there were more fleet and ground battle scenes, but I'm definitely sitting in the happy camp.

Loved the EC......

Were the endings ever what I expected? No.....

Were they ever gonna be? No....

Am I delusional enough to say something sucks because it wasn't how I imagined it? No.....

I hated the original endings because they were so damn vague, lazy and uncreative that they didn't.make any sense.....

But the EC explains everything superbly and gives closure to the "big picture" (the galaxy)

I never needed individual closure for each.character. While that would've been nice and all, it was never essential. You already know what they plan on doing if they survive the war.....showing your impact on the entire galaxy and.giving closure to.it, that's what really mattered....and the EC did it...

Seriously, some people are just such attention ****s that they cannot even conceive of anyone else in the world having an opinion that is different than theirs, and if they DO (by some minor miracle, I must assume) find someone who does have a differing opinion, they rush to the attack. Not the opinion, mind you, the person who has the opinion.

It's really quite sad and pathetic.

To the topic at hand, I was fine with the endings pre-EC. However, seeing the EC - and more importantly actually paying attention and understanding what the EC would be, and what the EC would NOT be - I can say that I am perfectly happy with the endings.

Someone tries to make a positive thread, and the QQers rush in to ruin it.

/Sigh.

Were the endings perfect? Nope. But then, nothing ever is, and I'm quite pleased with the endings, and all three games. Hopefully some pre-ending DLC soon, and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

I'm ok with the EC endings, but I'm aware that the endings are still, at their core, vile and awful. And the EC doesn't fix other major problems I have with the game, like the beginning (which is almost as bad as the original ending), the autodialogue, and poor romances.

EC has made the game playable for me. Not how i wanted it to end and certainly not perfectly executed but the re-introduction of the dialogue wheel and player agency in choices at end makes a big difference. Only remaining major gripe about ending is that Shep lives ending didn't get extended in extended cut.

There isn't any need for positivism. Especially forced positivism. You are welcome to your opinion but don't pretend that anyone else has to be happy.

Hi! This isn't a ****, whine, moan, complain, and QQ thread! Go find one of those, or, better yet, get off the forums if all you want to do is complain over and over and over and over again.

baa baa is an appropriate name for you.

There's always a need for positivism, and nobody's trying to force you to be positive. You don't feel positive? Don't post in a positive thread.

Nobody's trying to force you to be happy, lord only knows how much of a fool's errand THAT would be. But if you want to ****** in everyone else's Cheerios... do it somewhere else.

You don't read much do you?....if you had read the title of the thread you would've known that this thread is for "people that have no problems with the endings after the EC"......you obviously dont fit that description.....nor was the OP "forcing" anything on anyone......

So go be a hater somewhere else. Quite pathetic that you find the need to come to this thread, when in fact the entire forum is filled with "The Ending totally sucks" threads....you know? All those threads are right up your alley....

So bail out....or get a clue.....either way, just stfu

So polite...

No the OP didn't force anything on anyone. I was simply pointing out that positivism for the sake of positivism isn't truly necessary. It was regarding the 'time for a positive thread' comment.

Creating a thread where only one opinion is allowed and insulting others who disagree with it. Nice bunch you lot.

Your ignorance hurts.

There are dozens of whining, complaining, QQing threads on these forums. When someone makes one specifically for the oposit, it is natural that we're not going to want whining, complaining, and QQing.

So yeah. This IS where only one opinion is allowed, just like no Tali bashing is allowed in the Tali thread or no Kaiden bashing in the Kaiden thread! Amazing! Logic! Wow!

Positivism for the sake of actually being positive and trying to make a place for like-minded people to congregate is absolutely necessary. And there is always a need for positivism, otherwise we'd all turn out like you. And who wants that, really?

There are plenty of threads for you to partake in that are more to your.... tastes. Instead of trying to troll threads that disagree with you, why don't you actually partake in the "discussions" in those threads?
