 After the Tactical Cloak "balance" change I really don't see the point of this gun anymore.

It feels incredibly weak, doesn't even take down a single armor column against atlases (pre-cerberus buff) anymore and can't even one-shot regular mooks.

Why even have the gun in the game? It feels incredibly unfair as it took me 2 months to even unlock the damn thing and now that I finally had it in high enough level it is rendered useless after the patch.

Before the balance changes were supposed to make more guns useful/viable, now it seems to be the other way around.

The end of this multiplayer is coming.

My Black Widow does just fine, thank you very much. The Cloak "nerf" is a very small damage loss that changes nothing for the Black Widow.

BW w/cloak bonus does 1 shot trooper level mobs and unshielded centurions on gold last time I checked :/

It's pointless becuase of the krysae and the reegar carbine. And those are just Rares.

What level is your BW? I recall it can still one shot centurion shield from cloak with only sniper gear V at level 10. But I agree SR deserves a slight buff.

Sniping in general is pretty pointless now. Still doable, no point though as it' not as effective as many other things.

Black Widow still does more damage than Valiant in the hands of players who can work with the incredible recoil it has.

More importantly, it's 3-shot per clip makes it good for shield-gate purposes on characters that doesn't have power to bypass/break it.

I prefer Valiant because I couldn't handle BW's recoil though =/

Depends on how you play your sniper. If you're trying to be a tank buster, yeah, it's going to be far less effective. But if you're playing as a supporter, hitting smaller targets while more effective classes hit the bigger things, then snipers are still entirely as effective as it was before.

the black widow is the Infiltrators Widow.

the Widow itself remains the best sniper rifle for a human soldier.

I actually find the weapon more valuable now. Ill rather take a BW inf. in my team who knows how to HS than a krysae inf. who doesnt use ammo powers.

I fail to see the problem.

While I only needed two weeks of game-time total, less - bless my luck I guess - I did not have all that high opinion of Snipes. The BW in the hands of my Salarian Infiltrator changed that.
On Silver at least, which is what I mostly play, it is a mighty fine rifle, even after the TC "nerf" which I frankly find to be quite reasonable.
