My Shepard would sacrifice himself.

As for the question from a player perspective, I would consider it so long as EDI came back as well.

If the choice was between a Destroy ending where Shepard lives but the Geth and EDI die, and a Destroy ending where EDI and the Geth survive?
My Shepard would sacrifice himself.
As would mine

"But, Ruilus, the programs are aware that they exist!" That just makes them incredibly creepy. Nothing a wipe out can't fix.

I probably would have, but the Synthesis ending says the Geth aren't really alive, so no.
Just because they are different from us, doesn't mean they aren't alive. What should matter is they are self aware like organics and have the potential to learn and grow. When I say "grow", I mean "adapt" or "evolve".

My Shepard would sacrifice himself.
Agreed.
My Shepard didn't pick Destroy for self preservation anyway, so if there was a way for her to die rather than them, she'd take it.

Neither did mine.
I chose destroy because it was the only choice which actually kills the Reapers, and didn't expect to get that breath scene in the end. When Shepard took the brunt of that explosion after destroying the tube, I thought he was dead, and I was fine with that. Killing the Reapers was always more important than whether Shepard lived or died.

To be honest, I don't think living with those deaths on your conscience would be much of a prize. Even if you picked Destroy for sound reasons, there'd always be the doubt as to whether it was truly necessary

So yes, yes I would.
If you really mean my life, well, I won't kill myself over a game, so no.
