If the choice was between a Destroy ending where Shepard lives but the Geth and EDI die, and a Destroy ending where EDI and the Geth survive?
My Shepard would sacrifice himself.
Ditto
but ten again I am supposed to be looking for a Disney kind of ending...
funny how the same people who threw that slogan now have the most Disney ending, if you simply ignore the moral monstrosity it is.

Personally, no, as much as I like EDI, she is not worth throwing away everything Shepard did to get rid of theReapers. The Geth I don't care about.

Right, sacrifice is only meaningful if it's forced onto you. Just ask artistic writers like Casey Hudson.Applepie_Svk wrote...
It would be less artistic...

If it was actually explained why that worked.
They never explain how any of the colored lights really worked
I still don't know how a High EMS makes shep live after:
1. Harbinger beam
2. Marauder Shields *God Rest his soul*
3. the bleeding he endured walking through the Citadel
4. Walking INTO an exploding tube.
5. Whatever size explosion that caused all the rubble he was in.

How are they gonna be swayed by the Reapers after you've destroyed all Reapers?Pitznik wrote...
No way. Geth are so easily swayed on Reaper's side, they're like a timebomb waiting to explode. Even my buddy Legion kept lying to me all the time.

Life is made of priorities. MY PRIORITY is to save Shepard and get a reunion. Are you going to argue that your personal tastes are superior to mine or more enlightened?RadicalDisconnect wrote...Absolutely. The goal is to stop the reapers. If that can be done by sacrificing one individual, my Shep, instead of an entire race, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Considering that the central motivation for destroy is to tragically sacrifice the few to save the many, you completely missed the point of destroy...crimzontearz said...No I picked destroy specifically to save Shepard and get a goddamn reunion. if that means killing EDI and the geth so be it.
No, just a different interpretation, I suppose. Each to his/her own.

Yeah, I can't imagine why anybody would be more attached to their protagonist than the robots that have been attempting to murder them for three straight games. Truly boggles the mind.Jamie9 wrote...
I have to say I'm quite surprised at how many people would rather save themselves than an entire race.

I don't care if I'm a Paragon or not after that, but explain, why would I want to sacrifice myself to save a bunch of robots who can be rebuilt anyway?Jamie9 wrote...

Well, if you have a truce (else this topic wouldn't apply) then the Geth are your Allies. What they did in the past can be forgiven.

Because killing innocent people is wrong?
And, yes, the Geth could be rebuilt. But they wouldn't be the same people they were. They'd be different people. You'd still have killed millions (billions) of Geth.

My point is that people tend to have more emotional attachment to the character they been playing as, establishing relationships with, etc. than the beings that have basically been bullet fodder.Jamie9 wrote...

To give a similar example, I'm sure everyone on this forum would, say, save Garrus over a platoon of nameless turian soldiers if forced to make such a choice. Because they prefer the one character they have a connection to than the many they don't.
