Would you give your life to save the Geth in Destroy?

But who cares about Geth? Well, except the Quarians because Geth are helping them to rebuilt Rannoch, but the Council can just send some volunteers to help them since the war is over. Remember, Geth are machines, why would you want to sacrifice yourself to save an oven that can talk?Jamie9 wrote...

I don't care if I'm a Paragon or not after that, but explain, why would I want to sacrifice myself to save a bunch of robots who can be rebuilt anyway?
Because killing innocent people is wrong?
And, yes, the Geth could be rebuilt. But they wouldn't be the same people they were. They'd be different people. You'd still have killed millions (billions) of Geth.

My point is that people tend to have more emotional attachment to the character they been playing as, establishing relationships with, etc. than the beings that have basically been bullet fodder.
To give a similar example, I'm sure everyone on this forum would, say, save Garrus over a platoon of nameless turian soldiers if forced to make such a choice. Because they prefer the one character they have a connection to than the many they don't.
I guess I just get much more immersed then the average gamer. I play my characters as if they (and I) am in that world. So, yes, if there was a choice of Garrus vs. a platoon of soldiers, I would save the soldiers.
And I would feel terrible, but that would be the right thing to do.

This it the time where Kaiden would have been handy, but, alas, he's too busy partying with Krogans on VirmireCthulhu42 wrote...

Okay, that was an exaggeration, but, still, they are machines, robots, whatever. Why would you so quickly sacrifice yourself to save a robot?Sauruz wrote...

Depends on who's more valuable. Garrus is giving tactical advice to the primarch after all. But if that platoon is more of an asset then him then yeah alot of my Sheps would let him go.
Except my Shep with a crush. Garrus ain't going anywhere in that case.

Honestly you can pretty much do that with every race.
Asari - blue tentacle heads
Turians - Dinosaurs
Batarians - Batarians. XD
Vorcha - Roaches
Quarians - bucketheads
So on and so forth.
So yeah my Shep'll sacrifice himself for some robots. Won't sacrifice himself for bucketheads, tentacle heads or Dinosaurs though.

Well, that's what makes ME so good. Everyone's take on various events is different. I, for one, would gladly sacrifice myself to save organic species like Turians or Krogans. But to save the Geth, no way.Jamie9 wrote...

Oh, yeah. Of course. I'm not condemning you for making a choice, far from it. Having choices is a fantastic thing for a game to have.
I have a Shep who kills the Geth on Rannoch (he doesn't have Legion).
