I have no problem saying I sacrificed the geth TO SAVE EVERYONE ELSE.  In Refuse EVERYONE  is goo.

If that's your decision and your fine with galactic extinction - good for you.  My Shepard likes to save lives, and is not afraid of making the difficult decisions.

So in my Shepard's universe the humans, turians, krogans, quarians, salarians etc are alive....in yours apparently they're extinct.

You have no problem saying you commited a war crime, genocide, an atrocity to win a war. You submitted to the Catalyst's ultimatium, and make a decision you would have never made out of fear of extinction just to ensure victory. You believed your enemy that was trying to massacre you the whole game, and probaly killed million. Sorry, if you wanna commit genocide just so you can live, you betray everything about what Shepard has done the past three games, and is naive to think everyone was turned to reaper goo.

One of our traits as organics is persistence, we will not surrender even though we know we will lose, If we lose, but manage to lower down their numbers, pass useful information to the next cycle, and maybe a few of survive till the next cycle, then it's a victory to me, and our cycle.

Lol...

Shepard has compromised his integrity/morals plenty enough in ME2. He forced himself to work with Cerberus in order to stop the Collectors because he saw no better alternative. He sacrificed 300,000 Batarians to delay the Reapers because he saw no other alternative.

Nope.  Do you have a problem causing the extinction of all advanced life?

Do you really think they'll bring Shepard up on war crimes?   Seriously?  But it is fun to throw out inflamatory terms. My Shepard saved life.  Your Shepard wiped out life.  But at least no one will be around to blame you for it.

You didn't lose - YOU CAUSED GALACTIC EXTINCTION.  How's that for inflamatory?

(not quite as cool as genocide I know)

No you don't, stop trying to justify your displeasure with the endings by making refuse look good. It's childish. Killing your entire cycle is not a "win", douche.

And calling a person a douche because you disagree with them and have no evidence to back it up makes you so mature.

I felt like saying it. When someone chooses refuse, I feel the word douche is an appropriate follow-up.

Just to clarify the Reapers wiped out life not Shepard. Shepard only becomes a cuttlefish in the control ending.

You're just saying that because Cerberus is a terrorist organization that preformed horrible experiments and commited murder, torture, kidnapping....oh wait...  that was in ME2.   In ME3 Shepard is a paragon who won't compromise his integrity to save the galaxy!  Even if that means the extinction of all advanced life.  Image IPB

I love it when people trumpet the word GENOCIDE and hide behind it rather then make a strong defense.

Yes.  For me however, if Shepard had the means to prevent the Reapers from destroying all life and didn't use it - than I think she's just as much to blame.

Do you honestly think I care if they arrest Shepard or not, No! He's a genocidal freak either way.

Also, please explained how I caused galactic extinction, you already outright admitted you have no problem causing genocide, now please, indulge me, explain to me how I caused galactic extinction.

Actually Arrival is not cannon, also, working with cerberus he didn't do anything evil, actually, it can be seen as an alliance more than anything, and is obtuse comparing working with cerberus and commiting genocide.

Try again.

I only blame the Catalyst, which is one of the reasons my Shepard refuse to dance to his tune. But that's just my view point.

Actually it was a temporally aliance, My shep even says so, it came out of his mouth, My shep also says he never worked for them, he just took his resources and stabbed them on the back when he was done

PS- I'm still waiting on you to explain me how I cause galactic extinction.

Yup.

Dumping my 2 cents about Refusal.

1. Like it or not, Refusal spells galactic extinction for your cycle, and given the chance you had options to stop that, it IS your fault.

2. Like it or not, it IS a win situation. In the end, the Reapers are stopped. The next cycle gets the information from Liara's time capsule and stops the Reapers. Sure, you're entire cycle is dead because you didn't use the Crucible, but the Reapers are stopped in the end.

3. In this case, Shepard isn't really the hero, Liara and glyph are. You had the chance to stop the Reapers, and you left it up to the next cycle to do so. Had Liara not built a time capsule, the work of all of the previous cycles would have been undone.

The Genocide Bit Varies depending on who your Talking to.
To me Refuse and Destroy both involve Genocide, but the Question is How many do you want to die?
A couple Robots? or the Whole Galaxy?
Oh well, the illogical will Learn...

Gah!  So you're saying with Refusal Liara becomes the hero? She in effect makes sure the Reapers are defeated?

1-How is it he's fault? not arguing just asking.
2-agreed.
3-Actually, Liara implanted the capsules, but most of her information came from her journeys with Shepard, and would have been dead if Shepard never found her. Also, we can't know exactly what happen after the screen fades black.

Arrival is not canon. But neither is the destroy ending. We're not having a debate over which ending is canon.

And Cerberus is even worse than your run of the mill terrorist group. And yea you are working for them. You're using their resources and get paid by them (Cerberus funding after each mission).

I'm not saying working for Cerberus is worse than genocide, I'm just saying Shepard has had to compromise his integrity before.

My points remain untouched. Your move.

It's just an F you ending thrown in to troll fans. That's why they bothered to add the whole shooting the Catayst results in that ending because people on the forum keep talking about how they shot at him because the options sucked.

Actually, Shepard could commit genocide in one way or another, if there is no choice. Geth/quarian conflict, it is not always ends in peace, and he had made decision in one way or another. Sabotaging krogan cure to have them and salarians as war assets.

It seemed to me that the endgame decisions were intended to pose a moral dilemma to the player, and any decision we make will be influenced by our own personal morals. And regardless of what we choose, we will be deciding for the entire galaxy, and they're not exactly in a position to take a vote on it. So no matter what we decide, in the context of the game's storyline, it's going to adversely affect someone or some group, no doubt about it.

I don't see any point in chastising someone for what they decide to do at the end of their game; it's their game, and they did what they thought was best for the galaxy.
