Hi folks. Ever since patch 1.03, when I right-click on ME3 in Origin and select 'Check for Update' it doesn't bother checking the internet and immediately reinstalls patch 1.03 form some cache on my hard drive somewhere. Patch 1.03 is installed fine and it runs no problems.

I fear I may not be able to get future updates with it like this. Also, I can no longer use this check as a way of checking for updates.

Does anyone know how to convince Origin that I've already installed patch 1.03? Thanks chums! :)~

Am I the only person with this problem? If someone could confirm to me that theirs is working properly it would be a start. If someone has experienced this issue themselves it would be even more helpful.

Does anyone know where Origin caches the patches to? Or how/where it records what patch versions have been installed? Perhaps there's a log file or registry entry I could tweak or perhaps I could delete the cached patch... if I knew where to look.

Can anyone help?

If you are on Windows 7 like me, they are stored at C:\\ProgramData\\Origin. This is a hidden dir by default so you need to unhide it (if you don't know how, repost, will tell you, else assume you know). Delete all the files in here. Before you do, make a copy of the dir, then rename it to say
Origin.OLD.

You can also try uninstalling Origin. (Download it here http://www.origin.com/download unless you have it already)

I've just upgraded computer so reinstalling everything and getting ME3 working again (yeah right!!). I'm not sure if uninstalling it deletes these files. So try it and see. Do a System Restore first. That way if anything goes awry you can get back to where you were.
