Do you have proof?

Hopefully not, I'm more afraid that they'll try to make me pay to get retcons that legitimize the Catalyst and the shift in central conflict, not so much synthesis. But that's why we have reviews.

Or! Or! They could release DLC that has nothing to do with the ending! *gasp*

All future dlc will most likely take place before the ending.

Or set anything in the future so far ahead that it doesn't matter which ending you picked.

Not really viable.

If each ending is its own canon then Synthesis is forever, Control-Shreaperd is eternal, Destroy blows up all the synthetics (with any implied problems that causes for later synthetic creation) and Refuse gets to go play with the Reapers in the next cycle.

Nah. They’ll add pre-ending missions with stupid exposition about how the Reapers are really pretty cool, and just misunderstood.

DLC that adds new scenes to the Sword space battle via new war assets would please me greatly.

One does not simply handwave synthesis in to "it happened so long ago that nobody remembers it". Sure, they could write a story that is set 58 thousand years after ME3 and just say that "details has been lost in time. No one remembers why they glow green and poop microchips. It's just the way it's always been".

But in the end it doesn't matter. Becuase the player will remember why they glow green.

ME3 was not only the end of Shepards story. It was the end of the saga.

Everything we'll see from here on will be either prequels or "midquels". And I loathe it...

I am going with a Ham and Cheese DLC. You are sent out on a mission to find the fabled ham and cheese sandmich of POWer!! Though when you find it the cheese is got mold all over it and instead of giving you the power to kill all reapers. It gives you explosive diarrhea and lowers your EMS 1000 points. :P

I think we should all panic about it now, just in case it's true.

This is what I also fear. New DLC that makes reapers appear as the super goody good guys and so on. Same thing should they ever decide to make ME1 remake, "oh btw guys we added some more dialogue for Vigil who explains how cool synthesis is".

Maybe they'll stick to doing prequels, and they are pretty despicable anyways.

Indoctrination was so powerful a force that it leaked out of the game and took over the Bioware studios and EA.

I don't get why some people are so steadfast in their belief that ME3 is the last in the ME chronology, I haven't seen a single person backup that claim with a quote. Yeah I've heard that its the end of Shepard story but that doesn't stop the universe continuing, in fact I thought that one of the genius things the original endings did was put the universe in a pretty consistent state regardly of what options you picked eg.
-relays destroyed
-reapers stopped
EC has made it abit more complicated but I can see the next saga taking place in part of the galaxy cut off from the rest because of the relay damage

That's not really possible with synthesis.
