Just encountered it for the first time, playing Firebase Hydra with Reapers on Gold.  At first I thought 'Who's using rockets on wave 1?' but then after the 7th or 8th one I was like 'Wait a minute....'
Messaged the guy asking WhyTF his guns were doing that and he said "No idea!! Happened to me once before on that map too"
So question: Does the missile glitch occur more on Firebase Hydra?  Can it be accidental?   I don't want to report him if it really was an accident.

But his playstyle - running around aggressivly stealing everyone's kills, never reviving anyone, and getting downed and unreasonable number of times for someone with infinite freaking rockets - was really annoying and makes me doubt his 'it was an accident!' excuse.

If it looks like a duck and quaks like a duck....

I had it happen once on accident,

Me and my friends were playing glacier and we always spawn kill wave 7-8-9 and such depending on spawns rtc.

So I thought I had to rocket bottom on my PA with scorpion and I ran down there with a rocket in my hand already charging but my mate used his rocket so I pressed x to block it, I switched to my secondary weapon thou and it was gone.

It's... possible to do it by accident. I guess. But pretty unlikely. It's not related to map. The person has to have bad latency with the host and be using (Striker Krysae Scorpion or Falcon).

While you're glitched you can't revive teammates or do objectives, so nothing he could really do about it there.

It's possible to do it by accident, but if it happened on wave 1 (or any early wave really) it was probably intentional.

Yeah it was the very begining of the game.  First shot he fired.

Generally it wouldn't bother me that much, but it's been my personal goal to beat Reapers on Gold (most of my friends don't play ME3 so I always have to play with randoms so it makes it very difficult) and that was my first time, but it doesn't count because he was cheating.  He ended up with a score of 211,000ish, I tried my best to keep up and came in second place with a paltry 25,000ish.  Everyone else was sub-20k.

Report him. People like that take all the fun out of the game. After being in lobbies where people are openly planning to use it to not being able to use the falcon/stryker/scorpion without getting kicked, I'm starting to tire of this game.

Wave 1 is no accident...
Certainly it would be possible to do by accident though. I mean the first time it ever happened would have been an accident and the person it happened too would have been very surprised I'd imagine.

Misread the title of the thread "Is it possible to accidentally the Missile glitch?"
Then I was like, "accidentally the whole thing?"
And yes, you can. You can't accidentally do it over and over again though.

yup its possible...specially on the mid waves...where you are wondering whether to use the rockets on a cluster of enemies or wait for the latter waves.

You see 2 Banshees and a Brute coming near you, you ready your rocket, but then suddenly someone else finishes off the Brute and then another dude kills one of the Banshees so you switch weapon before wasting missiles. This is the number 1 accidental missile glitch pattern

Happened to me, pulled out rocket switched back and was stuck firing missiles. Did the only decent thing I could and left the match.

I guess it is since I've managed to do it accidentally yesterday. The only problem was that I was using a Hurricane so I basically couldn't fire a single shot for waves 9, 10 and 11, though the ammo count went down when I pulled the trigger.

I'm just assuming that this must at least be something similar to the missile glitch. So please Bioware, fix it! (Not that I think you weren't working on it anyway :))

Edit: Finally read the opening post and I'd also say that wave 1 is a bit fishy. Plus I know I would've left, at the very least to avoid being reported.

Just had it happen to me. Was using the krysae and I glitched out on wave 10. Didn't leave the game as I was playing with friends. Hopefully I dont get banned.

I saw this glitch for the first (and so far, only) time a few days ago. I had never been on the forums, and I assumed he was using a hack. I filed a complaint. When I a read the forums yesterday, I felt terrible and called Microsoft to try and revoke my complaint (you can't).
However, it was exactly the same thing - first wave, right off, he used almost nothing but missiles. And, of course he didn't revive anyone (I now know he couldn't) or help with objectives.
So, I feel a little less bad (good English me type) now that I know he was exploiting the glitch, not a victim of it.
