Might as well give my opinion.

This is an issue that really got me stuck when I did an ME3 playthrough without an import. Although I felt that the Geth VI isn't as friendly as Legion, for the most part he communicated what Legion would had said in a blunter manner. It was a difficult decision, but I had to choose the geth, although both sides are to blame.

However, what really made me favor the geth was the difference in which the winning side would respond. The quarians bathed in their victory, but the geth showed regret if their creators were killed. In addition, the fact that the conflict ended by convincing Gerrel to hold fire made me sympathize with the geth much more.

While we may argue that the quarians have many innocent non-combatants, I can't help but feel that the quarian admirals themselves held them hostage by fitting weapons on civilian ships. Civilian casualties would be both the fault of the geth and the quarian admirals, especially Gerrel.

Yeah let's judge a whole species based on two leaders, and their the idiots?

Yes, that I shall and have no regrets. The majority of the quarians are morons; their attitudes during the Morning War and their retarded attack on the geth while the Reapers were invading kinda cinched it. They can die for all I care, and I'll keep my army of robots. Besides, quarians suck in combat anyway, so they are no help in a full-out war apart from tinkering with crap the geth have already made.

Your insulting comments are not welcome here, and everything you brought up was argued earlier in the thread, pretty much all of them squelched.

If I would have to select one of the two? The geth, because they have been proven the most reliable so far. The quarians started the Morning War. They attacked the geth on Rannoch. The even fired on the dreadnaught after the geth ceased fire, even with Shepard and crew in it. The heretics were turned hostile by the reapers. The geth were controlled by the reapers during Rannoch. The reapers are keeping Rannoch available for the quarians' return. They even buried the quarians' dead. The geth study the behavior of organics to try to find out why their creators turned against them. Other things in their favor only show up when peace exist between the two.

You simply can't apply Godwin to Synthesis because Synthesis is impossible in reality.

I'm sick of people using Godwin to dismiss it. Of course it discounts it. Godwin (and his theories) are real. Synthesis is not.

Am I dismissing Synthesis? No. Was I analogizing Synthesis and x? No. I was pointing out that it's a noticeable trend in Synthesis arguments. I'm just as annoyed as you, I'm a Synthesis supporter, but getting upset about it isn't constructive.

lol. As a Destroyer, even I'm getting tired of the petty hate that the other endings are receiving, and synthesis bears the brunt of those attacks.

Agree with this

To all the poeple saying "hurr durr Quarians started it"

No. Close-minded individuals started it. As evidenced by the Geth Fighter Squadron Base mission, there -were- Geth sympathizers amongst the Quarians. Not only that, but by the time of the invasion of Rannoch, 1-2 of the admirals don't even support it. (Assuming Tali becomes an Admiral, 2/5 of the Board is for war, 2/5 is against, and the last Admiral is just piggy-backing on the war-side because of no other viable alternatives.)

You have no idea how badly I want to Godwin this thread >.>

Right, cause the majority of the quarians didn't think the geth should die, eh? Please, only a small number didn't agree with killing the geth and they got shot down by other quarians for that.

The population should have done something rather than blindly follow those idiots to war; they deserve their fact for not having the backbone to kick the Admiral's asses when they started that stupid  campaign. At least the geth don't lie about what they did during the Morning War, while the quarians maintain their victim stance.

We (****** sapiens) evolved up from single-celled organisms! I'm amazed by evolution, it's just amazing how it works. The Geth would achieve it naturally.

This forum is just like the Geth Consensus. We come here to share our viewpoints, and see if we can come to a consensus. Often we can't (just like during Legion's loyalty mission).

There are so many wrong this with this "argument" your trying to put up but this shouldn't be this hard, let me refute it little by little.

"Yes, I shall have no regrets" Shows me how unlogical you are.

"Their attitudes during the morning war and their retarted attack on the geth while the reapers were invading" Did you do the mission in the Geth consensus, many quarians opposed the idea, if was their leaders back then who started the war, also, even now they went to war because their leaders ordered them too, Most quarians didn't want to go to war.

"Besides, Quarians suck in combat, so their no help in a full-out war" They don't suck in combat, Quarians have proven to be great soldiers and have the best fleet in the galaxy, so how are they useless? Also, if they were useless (which their not)  does that justify killing them?

Wow, just wow.

the decision to take back Rannoch was completely logical in the face of an imminent Reaper invasion

No, it wasn't.
Yes, the quarians needed a place to shelter their noncombatants. However, they risked completely depleting their fleet to gain this base of operations thus leaving them defenseless against the Reapers which would make the entire ordeal pointless.
What they should have done was approach one of the four majors race and offer the use of their fleet in exchange for a place to shelter quarian civillians.

Especially stupid since having a homeworld would've only made them a target. Their ground troops suck. Reapers would've curbstomped their ass laughably quickly. At least with the fleet they could constantly retreat and didn't have to fight only using their weaknesses. Instead morons wanted to give the Reapers are big old most likely weakly defended easily reaped supply of Quarians. Stupidity.

Ugh whatever. Screw the Quarians. They lost my sympathy when they went ATTACK EVEN IF IT MEANS BLOWING UP SHEPARD AND ONE OF OUR ADMIRALS! Goddamn morons. It's not my Shep's jump to stop idiots from killing themselves. Nope. He's just gonna get some popcorn and laugh.

If it tried to kill me, I would fight back. That's called self defence.

If it tried to talk to me, I wouldn't unplug it, or kill it. That's called murder.

There is a distinct difference.

that is the diference between organics and synthetics, you cant "turn us off " because we dont "turn back on"
a synthetic can be turned on and off at will. and dont get me started with the "murder" of a machine

Both are just a bunch of proton, neutron and electrons. Organics are just as much machines as the geth.

But since I can't identify with the geth I don't feel strongly enough to care about them as much as I would quarians.

ummmmmm okey?:?

I don't care if 3/4 of the Quarians died. If they chose to slaughter the Geth instead of be rational then they can live with the consequences which of course are death, death, and more death and they will deserve it. I can't find sympathy for people who started a war with the intent of wiping out an entire species and then it going south on them.

Your ignoring the point, I'm explaining to you why Koris joined them anyway, even though he disagrees with the other Quarian who wants to go to war, he has to defend or else his species dies? What's so hard to understand?

You see, I have trouble dealing with this morally. Every "evil" act has a reason behind it. Murderers become murderers for a reason. Usually a tragic one.

But they are still at fault, right?

Yeah, well, when I see the criticisms for synthesis, I really can't tell if the people criticizing it are being intellectually honest, or just didn't bother watching the thing. Slogans of "being reapers, brainwash, slavery" are thrown about without actually trying to explain them. Oh well, it's fun playing the devil's advocate in favor of synthesis for those reasons.

"Unlogical"....right, because I won't side with morons who started a war over a question?

Many did and got killed for it by member of their own race. And no where did it say "Most quarians didn't want to go to war" it seemed to be only a small number.

Yes, they get their suits puntured and boom, dead from infection in a few hours. That's fairly sucky combat. Their fleets don't work against reaper ground forces, unless nuking the whole place is all you want to do.

Once again, stop acting all high and mighty.

Quarians. I'd save the Quarians......When it comes down to it I'd just feel more guilty destroying an organic race than a synthetic one.
