But yet a lot of the focus is on him. You have a one on one talk where he is nice to you. You bump into him as part of Hammer and he gets a lot of (generic) lines. They make it crystal clear that he survives no matter what (kinda odd that he didn't charge the beam) and then show that clip of him in all the endings brawling with a husk, which not matter what he survives (Even a low EMS Destruction Beam) and also displays him in the slides.
Then he has that whole "Sniping in Big Ben for 3 days" story which seems to be his entire character considering thats all we seem to know about him.
Just feels so weird. He's such a pointless nothing character that doesn't do anything...But yet he is in trailers, he has so much focus put on him at the end, no matter what he has to survive everything ever and they have to really show off to you that he is alive.
He comes across like he was a friend of the developers that they promised to put in the game or he won some kind of "Be in Mass Effect 3" contest or something.
Some people tell me that he might be relevant in future DLC but I really hope that he isn't. It's much more strangely amusing this way.
But still, just as big an enimga as the ending, let's salute Major Coats:

Edit:
I know it doesn't show him survive in Reject. So don't point that out. I wasn't really counting it. It would be hilarious if he did survive Reject though.
