 I barely can enter the Multiplayer but the chat is disabled????
 
I already tried restart the internet and Origin and give me the same result....

Is the ORigin Connection down???

can anybody clarify this???

Same issue here (PC, East Cost US). The funny thing is my husband was able to connect (even though his was disconnected too) amd we're in same room.... I tried restarting Origin multiple times, spamming "reconnect" - but that doesn't work. I can create game and play with others but not him... The irony

Update - still not able to connect. I checked the "news and announcements" section of the forum - nothing there. This is kinda silly...

I have been getting the same problem tonight and have been in tech support chat on and off for the last hour and a half...If they hit on a definitive fix, I will post it here.

I've got the same issue currently. Hope it gets fixed soon. I looked up the Chat Disabled issue from previous times and all the fixes weren't really working or applicable.

Same here. It seems that some of the servers are down? I am hoping that we won't need to wait until some one comes in in the morning.

Tech support told me there are no chat server outages currently...

After going through all of the basic troubleshooting motions (deleting temp files, ending background processes), the third person I spoke to told me to use Revo Uninstaller to delete the program and associated registry files (thinking that it may be corrupted registry files), then download a special version of Origin that isn't publicly advertised on the website (https://download.dm....OriginSetup.exe). After doing this, I am still getting this error.

I've been working on this for almost two hours. I'll keep you guys updated.

I'm having this problem, as well. Terrible timing, too; my kid just came home after more than a week away, and I promised him I'd play with him.

Oh well. Maybe he'll be up for some SW: TOR . . .

Well, they have no more fixes to offer. This was the end of my final communication with EA tech support:

Pawan:Yes, the Origin has to be modified again to make the chat option smooth.

you:OK so there will be a patch to Origin eventually?

Pawan:I am positive that the development team is working on this issue.

...And of course they directed me/us to post about this at the EA forums. Sigh.

It seems XBOX is having the same issue. FWIW, I have seem this since ~6:30 PM Pacific time.

I'm also relieved that I am not the only one...... I just contacted EA a few minutes ago and it seems the problem getting spread Worldwide.

I was worried it was just me. Been struggling with it all weekend.
Once they do bring the chat back up, I need to get alternate contact info for all my ME3 friends. Because this is certainly not the only time it's happened for me.
