@TheMarshal

I was just saying I am enough for him okay that's all.

And how would that change if he were bi?

Not the point, please read the posts before commenting....

Youu... were saying you wouldn't want your boyfriend to be bisexual because you don't want him thinking about other men. Then we were asking if it's okay if he would think about other women. You say he wouldn't even do that because you're enough for him. Sooo.... you're saying you wouldn't be enough for him if he was bi?

No... I said I wouldn't date a bi man because of the check out the same guy out thing ;-)

Oh...
FYI, about 50% of men admit to having had homosexual fantasies, so you better watch out:D

If you knew him you definitely wouldn't be saying that ;-)

Sometimes, it's the most unlikely ones;)

Okay you scared me.... happy??? ;-) I won't be able to sleep tonight...

Gotta wonder if this study also applies to homophobic women...

I like how everyone with a different opinion on the subject of bi and gay people are automatically called homophobic....

You want to control the thoughts of the people you have relationships with.  You admit it's irrational.

No to both of you!

I don't have anything against bi or gay people. I just don't want to DATE a bi man not CONTROL his thoughts since I obviously can't do that. I don't think that makes me a homophobe.

But what if he was bi but never told you he was bi? You'd never know.

Well that's obviously a different matter, I wouldn't break up with him because of it, I just purposely won't go after a bi man.

But if you can potentially be with a guy who is bi and never know, doesn't that mean you can be with a guy who is bi without it making any difference to your relationship?

The difference right now is that I have never datet or known any bi or gay people so I don't what it's like. But if I know the person first and then find out, how can I give him up because of it? I probably can't.

Not all gay/bi peopel run around screaming their gay or bi, or even say it.  So you probaly have dated and you never knew.

Unless you live in a town where people have their sexual prefrences on a big sign on their forhead.

But that is what I'm saying... maybe someone you've known WAS bi or even gay. Unless they chose to tell you, you wouldn't know.

Why does anyone assume Kaidan is bi if you romance him as a femshep just because he can be bi if you play dudeShep?

Well apparently it's because he doesn't say "I am straight" according to some people at least.

You're so convincing.

And you restrict it because you're trying to create real characters, with things like traits, not mushy sex dolls to be used however the character sees fit.  The majority of people are straight, some people are gay, some are bi.  The characters you interact with should reflect this.

The majority of real life women don't date ugly dudes but the game doesn't reflect this.

Because somehow magically we knew everything about Kaidan's personality and character the second we met him in the original game.

Because he's not a different person just because you play as a female character? Shepard isn't a different person whether you play as male or female. Why should all the characters have a different sexual orientation just because you're playing as a different gender.

Kaidan is Kaidan. Just because you experience Kaidan differently in a MaleShep playthrough doesn't mean that Kaidan is a different person. Kaidan in a FemShep playthrough may not even realize that he has bi tendencies, who knows? We do know that under the right circumstances, Kaidan could go for a dude, if that dude is MaleShep. Whether he plays both sides of the fence regularly is not discussed and is really not relevant to who Kaidan is. We could say, thanks to our metagame point of view, that Kaidan is "innately" bisexual, since we can observe him in relationships with persons of both sexes. But so what? Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Kaidan is a (fictional) person, not a "sexual preference". All this obsession over whether he is or isn't gay/bi/straight is absurd.

I see plenty of real life women who date ugly dudes. I also don't see what sexuality has to do with appearance.

Pretty sure they were being sarcastic. I think you need to educate yourself a lot more about homosexuality and bisexuality, because when you say things like "Miranda and Ashley are just not the types to be into women, can't explain why" you clearly show that you know almost NOTHING about the subject. Sexuality is not something you can just pick up on with your handy dandy "intuition", I hate to burst your bubble. The fact is whatever you think you know about the sexual proclivities of the people around you, I can guarantee you—you don't know the half of it. You assume too much.

Hmmm.  I wonder what that says about Shepard?  :P

All joking aside, I just view Kaidan as straight if I'm playing a femshep. And yes, I whole heartedly agree w/ the bolded text.  Thanks.

For me it's inconceivable that in 2012 people still argue about this type of thing...
