Just a stereotypical hetero/****** joke.  Most straight guys, when they find out a woman is gay, want to see pics. We always imagine lesbians are in some 24/7, non-stop, lurid teenage fantasy.  Not that you got up with morning breath, went to work, came home, went to bed.  That just ruins our adolescent hopes. 

Remember, no one...NO ONE dislikes lesbians. (again, a joke dear). <3

Better to be inclusive and give the option of a polite decline rather than exclude completely.   Manshep doesn't even get as much dialogue as Femshep in the Kaidan romance.  We had to wait until EC to hear them finally say that they loved each other. 

Thank you for this.  I find the whole "Kaidan can't be x or y" thing a fascinating kind of hubris.  For me, Kaidan was always a possibility ... even if he wasn't so by the coding.  So when he became one via the coding, it changed nothing but that I could actually say something about it in-game.

I don't mind gay or bi characters. My problem with Kaidan was that he was not a romance option for MaleShep in game 1, which meant he had already been established as straight. So them changing his sexuality after two games where he was defined as straight was very odd to me.

Again, I support gay and bi romances and characters, but I'm glad they didn't do the DA2 thing and make everyone bi.

I think I wouldn't have minded what DA2 did if Hawk wasn't made out to be an SOB ever time he/she said they weren't interested.

I found his level of flirting more-or-less on par with Shiala's "invitation" and Jack jumping on the table in ME2 (I couldn't picture Kaidan jumping on a table though...his "integrity" wouldn't permit it.).

Well, many people are capable of appreciating (or "checking out") a hot/beautiful man/woman, without feeling the desire to cheat on their significant other or partner.

But we all have different boundries and opinons of what is acceptable in a relationship. However it´s important to also obey them oneself unless one wants to be treated like a hypocrite.

Just by reading it, it seems to be more a playful banter than Kaidan being desperate. Of course, I don't know because tone is also important.
