Just by reading it, it seems to be more a playful banter than Kaidan being desperate. Of course, I don't know because tone is also important.

I don't like how people use the word Homophobe to refer to people who oppose the homosexual "lifestyle".

It implies that we fear them, but if we feared them would we not submit to their incessant demands for marriage or adoption?

I think it is you who is afraid, afraid of the social ramifications of opposing something everyone else seems to get behind.

Before any of you ignorant jackasses have the chance to accuse me of being a "hater".

Know this, I don't hate based on nationality or religion or preferable deviant act. I hate people because I know them and they have given me reason to feel that way. I don't know nor can I know every person belonging to any group of people.

People should be allowed to love whoever they want if it makes them happy everyone has the right to pursue happyness wether with the same gender or not that is ultimately their choice and not yours so if you try force your way you're no different then assuming anyone who is gay is trying to force their way upon you

And yes marrying the person that makes you happy should be ok no matter what the gender is

If you actually read my post then you would have realized my issue was not with homosexuality itself but with the ignorence of their supporters.

I specifically stated the logical flaws of the term "Homophobe" and attempted to make a point regarding the irony of it.

I read you "response" and I'm confident others will agree that instead of acknowledgeing my points and commenting on them, you have just mindlessly spouted pro-homosexual jargon.<_<

No, that's not what the word means. It's not that you fear homosexuals, but that you fear homosexuality and its apparent "influences." Which clearly you do.

Please explain to me how "clear" it is that I fear homosexual influnces?

Again, it's the misuse of words that annoys me.

"Fear" is NOT synonymus with "dislike".<_<

So, let me get this straight (no pun intended): You oppose things such as gay marriage and adoption, but you dislike the term "homophobe", since it indicates that the person in question fears homosexuals, but that isn´t always the case for someone who opposes the beforementioned marriage and adoption??

Yeah, the BioWare community is already... well, disgusting. Creepy would be a fitting description too. There's a lot of homophobes here, saying dumb **** like "uh Garrus can't be bi, that breaks his character" and dumb **** like that. It really is a disgusting community and I'm ashamed too even write this. Still, hopefully there are some people with an actual brain around here. Hopefully...

Well, if you actually knew the definition of the word, you'd know that it's not just about fearing gays.

" Homophobia is a range of negative attitudes and feelings towards homosexuality. [...] Definitions refer variably to
antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, irrational fear, and hatred."

I'd say the word 'homophobe' describes you rather accurately after all.

Wait, hold on, how does saying someone isn't bi, that that isn't their character, homophobic? Sexual orientation is a large part of who anyone is. If you change it, you've changed them. Maybe you disagree about Garrus' character, and that's fine, but don't call someone a homophobe for wanting established character traits respected. My Shepard can be whatever I want, but the characters I interact with should have their own personalities.

I mean, I don't think Traynor or Ashley should be bi, I like both of their characters as-is. Am I a homophobe?

Nothing is "established" unless they outright say they're not attracted to one sex. Samantha does say this, Ashley does not.

She only says it if you're too dense to take the subtle hints. Theres a reason ash hits on male shep all the time in ME1 and not femshep.

There's a reason, but it was never established what precisely that reason was. I haven't played the Maleshep/Kaidan romance, but I have no reason to believe it couldn't be similar to whatever reason was given there.

Speaking of never establishing anything, there is so much sexual tension between FemShep and Miranda at the goodbye QEC on Earth that it's ridiculous that she wasn't available to romance!

Yes everyone should apparently be bi... Are you freaking kidding me? Ashley and Miranda bi?

Forget it Krukow, it's the same reason they use for Kaidan in me1/2. Apparently everyone against a character being suddenly made bi is homophobic. Even if you have an opinion about a character that should not be bi, they will still call you homophobic.

Enumerate for me if you will the things that you feel would be different about Ashley or Miranda if they admitted their attraction to FemShep.  For that matter, what's different about Kaidan now that he can be attracted to ManShep?

Why develop character/romance resources only to arbitrarily restrict them to one Shepard? DA2 got this far more right.

In any case, why would Ashley or Miranda not be bi, in particular?

Kaidan is just half ruined for me... kinda hard to explain but seeing all those pics thrown at me on these forums of Kaidan and male shep well they kinda burn into my mind.... and its not pretty! Miranda and Ashley are just not the types to be into women, can't explain why. I don't believe it's realistic to make everyone bi. I do however thank Bioware for keeping Kaidan at least straight with no bi past in fem shep world.

Lots of different kinds of people are bi or gay.
