I always, ALWAYS, completely randomise my search. If I get dropped in Silver/Gold so be it. I've had matches of Gold I've been OK in, and matches in Silver where I've been destroyed. Just part of the learning curve. Somebody wants to get angry at me because I haven't invested as much time as I could into the game? That's their problem. I'm in it to have fun, and help my teammates. I'll have a crack at whatever is thrown at me, whether it's "within my abilities" or not.

I am getting a bit tired of people whining about others on these forums. People should play where ever they want on public servers. If you want to get picky host a private match or invite your friends.

Agreed. Bronze exists for a reason. I hate getting teams that can't carry their weight.

Silver is the nice sweet spot between easy and difficult but it's not fun when you're doing all the work all the time.

I like to troll FBWGG matches by standing at the other end of the map, does that count as making the other 3 guys carry my weight if I'm killing guys? (Though I die every wave i kill like 10 guys)
I hate FBWGG and I hope it gets fixed. Every time I get thrown into the match that requres shoot. Press grab. shoot. Press grab. I want to immeidtely quit.

I take them all the time, join randoms often, it sharpens my skill and I offer suggestions, if they follow them great, if they don't they die, that simple.....vast majority of the time they follow as maybe no one bothered to give them basic instructions, this way they will pass it on to others and at some point the issues some have today will not be in the future.

I would like to think you have played with people as good or better than you, send a friend request, I did, works perfect, I play with them some and sometimes I just join whatever. What is really fun is to take an experienced friend into a game, assign one of the people you do not know to each of you.

On silver my extraction is 98%+, I play every day.

There are people in Bronze that belong in silver, I saw that yesterday using a level 1 Adept I had reset, I see people in silver that can do well in gold, some gold belong in bronze:)

The system itself is broken so we have to make the best of it, a new player can go camping to get the equipment up, then they feel they are qualified to play any level, the equipment is only a small part of being successful in a game.

I mean no offence whatsoever, if we are playing silver, we should be able to carry most teams, if not maybe we need more practise, god even if they do objectives or act as meat shields, they will learn and those who are proficient can get the job done, everybody wins and we get the credits we want.

+1 for the entire post.
Carried most of the team in 2 silver games last night and it was fun. Mostly because at least one of the guys stuck with me and looked like he was actually willing to learn something and that made my day.

People who can't handle newbies in Silver can generally barely handle themselves. If the team is wiped out before wave 6 or 7, don't blame it solely on other players.

Basically, don't play above bronze unless you are prepared to solo. You should not have any expectation that your team will survive, because most of the time, they won't.

Every now and then, you find a team that works well together. And you think that's what's going to happen when you queue up. But it isn't. More than likely, you'll spend what little leisure time you have in your life feeling frustrated and aggravated.

I'm going to do one of two things going forward; I haven't decided yet. Either I will uninstall so that I won't be tempted, or I will start kicking a lot more and stop leaving lobbies when my kick votes fail. Force people to choose between the jerk and the noob with the Incisor I.

Add me if you are on PC - we are looking for good players who want to have fun and play 2 or 3 ppl bronze and silvers.

Time of day is also important when doing random matches.

Late afternoon to early evening PST are the worst hours to play, imo.

WOuldn't it be easier to start your own public match and then you get set it to unknown/unknown and not worry about it?

If I'm playing a Silver match with people who probably shouldn't be there I just unequip any consummables I may have. You don't lose anything that way, you can teach people something new, and you get to be amused at the newbie being cannon fodder. If noobs in silver make you angry maybe its time you switch to gold and find more experienced players.

Noobs provide challenge! Best games are played with inexperienced players.

Having said that, most of the times when I play silver games the players kinda know what they're doing. I don't see many claymore adepts in silver.

I almost always are on an extract team with public silver games but some of the games are difficult. The odd time I leave a lobby of the rest of the team looks too weak but not often. I never kick but rather just leave and find another game.

As others have stated not all new people are created equal, some are very good, the lone wolf new person is the one that is a pain.

Great players can completely carry a team in Silver, and Silver is pretty easy even for average players, if they stick together and work as a team.  Most of the time that I see Silver failures is when a bunch of average players all try to go Leeroy Jenkins instead of working together.  It usually works for about 6 waves or so, until multiple Banshees/Phantoms/Primes/etc start showing up.  At that point, either people start playing together better or everyone dies (assuming there isn't a great player to carry the team).

If you are so good then play your game, help them out, or ignore them. If your team is so bad the match won't last 10 minutes and then you can change lobbies.

Get off your high horse. They paid the same thing you did to play the game.

+1 On that.

I wish Noobs were more in tune with their actual skill level, and would play the appropriate levels. There's been this weird trend, on PS3 at least, in under-20 N7s hosting U/U/G matches. It's difficult to find a Gold match that has decent players and isn't FBWGG.

Stop making FBWGG farming sound so simple.  It's way more than just shoot-grab-shoot-grab.  Occasionally you have to re-spawn your Decoy, Turret, or Combat Drone.

I typically never host my own game. Seems to have many connection issues. Lots of my private matches get the infinate joining bug.

Gold on the other hand...

I get more frustrated doing Gold pubs. Especially equipping. I don't bother any more. I just play with buds now.
