so
the op complains about bad players playing silver, although they can't
solo it, because he can't solo silver himself and gets wiped when teamed
up with noobs.

now that's a fantastic logic.

The OP's
logic holds up just fine: someone is frustrated because he or she has to
clutch multiple times in Silver matches, and would enjoy the game more
if the quality of squadmates were more consistent.

Your response,
however, doesn't hold up at all. The major flaw is that you cast anyone
who can't solo Silver as a bad player. In fact, you imply that there
are only two kinds of players, who are distinguished solely by whether
or not they can carry a group and/or solo; further, you seem to believe
that only "good" players are allowed to get upset.

you misinterpret my post. can't blame you, really. it wasn't phrased that well. anyways, i don't state anything at all. i just rephrase what the op wrote and wanted to point out that it's contradictory.
the op complains about bad people playing silver games. he also says, people shouldn't play silver until they can solo it. now why would he complain about bad players then? if he lives up to his own standards, he should be able to solo silver and therefore have no trouble whatsoever, with carring sub-par players through silver.

my conclusion is, that he is either a hypocrite, who in fact, cannot solo silver and just want's to blow off some steam, because he failed a few matches. The other option is that he can solo silver and just likes to complain about stuff even though there is no reason to do so.

I doubt I could solo Silver, never tried Bronze, but Ill beat most people on Gold any day. I can solo a wave if I need to. I find Silver is enough to just kick back, nonchantly walk around, and have fun doing it. Gold I find tedious more than anything else. When my buddies want me to play, its more about getting credits than anything else. They know they can rely on me to extract. So thats all the encouragement I require. Soloing is not the end all, be all of being the best. Being the best at a co-op game, is being a team mate.I suck at soloing because, quite frankly, I dont want to take an hour or more, or whatever, to do it. Id be bored by the 3rd wave and quit. I also have arthritis in my hands and cant play alot of Gold (duck, cover) because it hurts like hell. Silver is where its at!!

Anyone from here who has asked me to play from here, or ran into me on Live, Ive played with.Posted Image

see above. i just rephrased the op. that wasn't my own opinion. ;)

dude if u keep getting wiped, maybe the problem is urself... very rarely i meet a team on gold that actually needs to be carried by me, and on silver we do just fine. Soooo.... maybe u are the problem, not ur teammates.

You just have to get a bit better so that you can compensate. When I started Silver I was using the character I could play best with, now I can use anyone but pull out my favorite if the team looks weak. It's hard when you first jump up because you can't pick up much slack and you know if you are top scorer after a few rounds it can't be good!

I am getting a bit tired of people whining about others on these forums. People should play where ever they want on public servers. If you want to get picky host a private match or invite your friends.

If you are so good then play your game, help them out, or ignore them. If your team is so bad the match won't last 10 minutes and then you can change lobbies.

Get off your high horse. They paid the same thing you did to play the game.

In a perfect world this would have ended the thread.

I play random silvers a lot and for the most part the games go smoothly. I've certainly had my rage moments, although most of those are directed towards the controls or game mechanics (bouncing from cover-to-cover when trying to run, powers refusing to fire, getting stuck on -tiny- edges, etc).

I like the variety random silvers provide, plus the success rate is pretty high.

The difference between good players and mediocre players is the mediocre players she 3 newbie teammates as 3 anchors. A good player sees 3 newbie teammates as 3 decoys to help catch bullets.

I don't have problems with Silver lobbies usually. It's only Silver. It's not like I've invested equipment. And I accept your rather 'unusal' loadout. Perhaps we both can learn something from it?

But this past weekend? Under which rock did this horde of solid waste excrement crawl out from? I've never suffered such bad players.

Hopefully that only means that the RNG curse has moved from PSPs to lobby-selection...

I love nOObs... (in silver).

Did some silver games with a very low level (was 6?) but he had a speaker open and he was willing to follow directions: he stick with someone else and he did not die much. We had fun! (that is the main reason I play...)

Is a challenge... Why not? If you're sooooo good....... go Gold...

On Gold, in the other end, I cannot carry a team for more than a wave, (soloing) and sometimes it is frustrating....

Silver? If you're going to complain, you better be good enough to solo or carry an entire team on Silver.

Sir or madam get over yourself. It is silver, if you are so damn elite carry the team and leave the lobby after the match is over. I often test out weapons I never used before on silver or do other dumb things like meleeing everything to death with my Krogan sentinel because I wont do it on gold.

Survival of a group allways begins with survival of the individual, if you cant look after yourself properly, dont expect the team to carry your ass in every game. If some beginners drag you down that bad, maybe its time for you to look for something easier to play.

I get you are complaining because you would never of dreamt of doing SIlver before you were good enough to. Same here I wouldn't want to put a drain on the team. But yes unfortunately a lot of other players don't see it that way. They want the credits and over evaluate their abilities or expect other players will carry them. I get that you are good enough now if kills are shared fairly evenly between players and that you are not saying you are a great player. I see some posters are misinterpreting your post. So I'll just add from my previous post, just be really picky who you team with until you improve a bit more to carry others because you will always get Bronze players in Silver.

DIdn't realize Silver was for pro-elites only?

I better stick to Gold then, with the nubs.

I kick anyone who joins my silver match who has a N7 under 250. Unless there one of those people who never promoted. 90% of the time my other teammates vote with me because they dont want the guy with the high N7 to leave. When in doubt just kick.

I've been running into a considerable amount of rookies lately... It's not very enjoyable, I admit.

Why is it experienced players have to be so nasty to newer players? What is the point? I'm going to assume that means these particular individuals were always amazing at ME3 MP long before it came out. We all were new at this game at one time. Don't crush new players for something were all new at once upon a time.

PS: I'm not suggesting it's ok for new players to go silver, gold, or Plat before they are ready, don't advance until you can handle yourself of course, however when a new player is "kicked" from a Bronze run because they are a low N7 number before the round even starts is nasty and mean.

Was playing with my sister not long ago and she had an N7 lvl of 4. I was at 400. Some random person joins in when I set for public and actually had the nerve to try and kick her out for having a low N7. That was un-called for.

For all the badassery being described in this thread, players need to realize 99% of ME3 players don't have the ability to solo a late-wave on silver. Expect to be able to solo if you want credits.

Before you get on me for Paelo-posting, should I copy/paste all the complaints I got for starting a new thread only this morning when there was another post on the same thing 3 monts ago?

Get off it. You can't have people getting scolded for posting in an old thread and people posting a new one on the same topic.

I don't have a problem with people being noobs. I do have a problem with people being dicks.

I just want to talk politely to noobs.
"You wanna try out the Incisor you just unlocked? Go for it. I'm sure you'll switch after the match. Yeah ignore that guy screaming about noobs and pwnage and how your loadout is made of garbage. Have fun."

^ This. Bronze is not a good testing ground for weapons because I can use anything on Bronze and do well, and soloing Silver is usually out of the question for newer players to the game, especially if they'd be doing it with the Incisor, Scimitar or any other terrrible weapon. I'm fine with having underequipped players with me on Silver, it just means I may have to switch to something easier to use if there's more than one of them, which I'm usually fine with doing anyway.

See my last quote before you laugh at me for posting in an old thread. I already got trolled for making a new post today when there was a prior post from 3 months ago. You can't have it both ways. If you have nothing constructive to add then there is no reason to post at all. iow, don't open the thread if your not interested.
