End of multiplayer?

Also I noticed that playerbase shrinked considerably, I began to encounter same players more and more, or get thrown into the ongoin game. It's only my impressions on PC though. You can add that forum activity slowed down considerably, which is not a good sign, because it consists of die-hard fans of the game. So what do you think about it?

I'm curious: what's the connection between those two clauses?

There have been a lot of these posts lately: "I quit ME3, which means it's going to be over soon."

Pretty much this.
I've seen none of the decline that the OP is claiming on 360, nor has a good friend on PC.

The rumors of ME demise are greatly exaggerated...

The MP of this game will still be around for a while. Not forever as it wasn't designed to last incredibly long, but it's not dying on us just yet.

It will be a year or better before it "dies" so to speak.

The hardcore fans will keep it going 'til ME4

But without some big changes, MP is going to die faster than BW would like. I don't forsee it lasting a full year.
I haven't got a single Friend Request from BSN. My Friends list is like 40 long and theres always at least 2 playing with 4 to 10 online.
PUGing is terribly boring. When you have a team of people to talk to and joke with, without it being awkward since you don't know how they'll respond, it's much more fun.

It's not COD or BF3. No PVP, no
various modes, same maps, same enemies. Of course it's gonna get boring
if you're playing since the demo. I take breaks playing Skyrim.
Or TF2. And yeah, burnout is definitely an issue but I play other games from time to time. PVE and horde mode are biggest issues.

I can agree on some points.
The game is getting old, but if you play with friends it's bearable. The
part about encountering the same players over and over again; that's
happened to me, but only when I play Gold (Xbox here, and it's mostly
Glacier speedruns). And now that you mention it, a lot of regulars that
used to be around here have died off recently (though it was mostly due
to trolling and the like) and the community seems to be a bit more
docile. This game won't die off though, not as long as they keep
churning out new content.
I guess more people play on Xbox, so maybe it's not a big problem there.
New content as maps, classes and weapons is not enough I think. Too many buddies play only during weekend events or when DLC released and then leave again.

I haven't noticed any such decline on the PC, and I play quite a few randoms these days.

It's good to be optimist.

You mention one game mode being boring, but what MP game is out there that is any different, All games follow pretty much one formula.
COD, Diablo 3, TF2. PVP makes shooters interesting and they have different modes.

For a normal player it will still take some time to max out all weapons and gear, every DLC enlogates that phase even more.
When most players have every item, I guess players will move on to other games with a small group of elitist remain here.

Diablo 3 isn't PvP(yet), it isn't a shooter, and it doesn't really have multiple game modes =P
Though ME3 MP was never going to be as fleshed out as something that has had 80-100% of it's resources dumped into the multiplayer of the game.
ME4(Because you all know it's happening) will probably have a more fleshed out MP experience because of how much of a success this one was. They weren't going to throw a ton of resources at an unknown like that when the series was known for it's singleplayer campaign. It would have been a very strange and very risky move to do to your primary IP.

I think the operation was pushed back this to this week so they can announce the next DLC... I mean, it's going to be playable at comic con...today.thursday. It shouldn't be long until a video or details hit the internet. If it's on Xbox or PS3, they've got it certified (I don't think you're allowed to let the public use developer devices) which means both the next patch (I think) and the DLC is already finished and ready to release.
They can lock devices fairly easily and since the Devs will be hanging around to ensure no funny buisness they could use dev devices to show all new aspects of the game without people unlocking it the way the public has to.
I do agree with the fact that odds are it's probably mostly finished by now if they'll letting people play it at Comic-con. You don't let people play "works in progress" because of that fact. I don't post halfwritten posts or I'd look like a retard if I did. Now they just need to release it.
