Was curious how old everyone thought the characters/companions were.
One thing I was curious about is if elves/dwarves have longer life-spans? But for this we will assume human years (what we are used to).

My opinion:
PC - Depends on how you rp/make them. Mine was about 23-25
Alistair - Early 20's (21-22)
Morrigan - I'm going to go out on a limb and say late teens early 20's. I just get that vibe from her (18-21)
Leliana - Mid 20's (25-26)
Sten - Late 30's early 40's (38-41)
Wynne - Early to Mid 60's (61-64)
Zevran - Early to mid 20's (21-24)
Oghren - Mid to late 30's (34-37)
Shale - Erm, ancient? (200 yearsish)
Dog - five to six years old (hehehe)
Shmooples (can't forget Schmooples!) - Six months

Shale has to be way older, there haven't been golems even made for 400+ years....



I think Morrigan is a bit older than Alistair, and I think your PC is around the same age... you are the younger child in the Noble, not married yet as an elf either origin, so I'm guessing Morrigan is 25, Alistair and PC about 22.

Sten, probably early to mid thirties.

Wynne, sixties definitely.

Oghren agree.

Zevran mid to late 20's.

Alistair, Early to mid 20's. Some things suggest he might be older than Cailain, and Cailian seemed very early 20's.

Shale is like a woman in her late 40's, early 50's.

PC: very origin dependant. I felt for mine, late teens early 20's.

Dog: Immortal.

He went into Flemeths hut for 3 hours in one of the books. What they did is speculation though.

Ahh, some serious misreading on my part then, I thought golems stopped being made about 200 years ago. Oh, but right, Shale would then be older then 200, because Shayle was probably 30-40.

Oh ok gotcha. I just picked up Stolen Throne yesterday, so haven't gotten there yet. Well, doesn't that raise a whole bunch of new questions then! Erm sorry Alistair, you are actually related to Morrigan (queue, head explosion).

We really have no idea what the life cycle of Qunari is so it's hard to judge his age.

Oghren I would assume is somewhere in the 40s-50s range.

Shale is centuries old. Best way to pinpoint an age would be by Caridin's history. I haven't read too much in the codex so I don't know if how long ago he lived is mentioned.

Wynne, late 60s maybe even in her 70s. If she's in the 70s she aged exceptionally well. She leaves the impression that she is very old and close to a natural death regardless of her unique situation and I've heard of other humans living into their 90s in dialogue.

The others seem to be mid to late 20s which is a pretty nice change as most games (especially JRPGs) feature a team of intrepid 16-18 year olds.

And very Authrian if you did the dark ritual. Alistar having sex with his half sister and creating a little monster. Morrigan/Morgan le Fey=Modred. Morgan le fey was also reported to be a shapeshifter, and in some versions of the story, shapeshifted into Guiniverre's form to seduce Arthur.

That would make some serious complications for future games, yes?

I've read bits and peices of the story but never the whole thing. I need to add that to the list of books/stories I have to read. However, I can just imagine the outcry if it happened. Some of the fangirls here would just explode. I love your little monster bit. I might quote you on that.

That would put her around 34-year old then. The Fereldens drove back Orlesians 30 years ago, and Maric met Flemeth 5 years before that.
That's why I do not believe Morrigan is Maric's daughter.

For Me :

Shale : over 400 considering that other blight and whatever ever happened in history.

Oghren : Considering his drunkiness and facial look, I'd say 42

Sten : Also considering his face around 40, perhaps 39. Hair could have been a factor if not because ALL qunari appear to have white hair

Leliana : 30, maybe even 40 for all we know. She tells Wynne she looks younger than her actual age...

Wynne : considering all facts? I'd say over 80.

Morrigan : 28 or 29.

Alistair : Have no idea really. I'd say about 25.

Zevran : 30.

Dog : he's still a puppy so I'd say below 1 year old.

Someone said in another thread that Alistair is 32, which made me raise an eyebrow. Is this info all based on the books? I didn't get the impression that either Morrigan or Alistair were that old.. I thought late 20's at the high end for both of them. It's never mentioned in the game, though, and I kind of like it that way.

I assume the PC, Morrigan, Leliana and Alistair are all around 25-29 years old.
Sten and Oghren are obviously in their 40's, Wynne I assume 50 something and about Zevran, well... I have no idea buy I'd say around 30.

If Morrigan is in fact Maric's daughter (which is like 90% possible) then yes, she should be from 25 to 30 years old which I assume she has.
