Can't you guys get it through your heads that bioware is aware that their game is too hard?  They have tried to make it easier in two patches yet the game is still too hard.

I will say this again. I was able to beat the ogre fight and a few other fights that were tough for me. But I GOT THROUGH THEM.

THis fight is just too difficult.  Four shades? 3 yellow & 1 orange? Are you ****ing kidding me? On easy mode ?!? I can barely beat one orange mob let alone 3 yellows to help him.

Well... as to whether the game is too hard is entirely debateable, yes they did make some changes but I'd say that's far from an acknowledgement by Bioware along the lines you mean it. 

Even if it were what do you expect them to do? Come out with a patch today that solves your problem?

To be honest a hell of a lot of people have been posting and giving you what amounts to good advice and suggestions which appear at times to be just flying straight over your head and hitting the wall with a splat.

In the time you've spent trying to solve this problem in the forum you could by now have restarted the game and been beyond where you are I imagine.  Take the advice you've been given, no one likes to restart but sometimes it's the only way.

So basically you are saying that the games AI is smarter than you are? I have gone back to every major encounter in the game and put it on easy and watched the games AI tactics win every encounter. I NEVER did a thing but watch the screen and collect the loot afterwards. I cannot even fathom how you could be so bad at the game.

I wanna see his post after he fights Gaxkang.  That would just be a greta thread to read.

Oh btw dex does slightly increase chance to hit but so does strenght, only dex gives you dodge and str gives you damage. No point in hitting something if you aren't going to do damage anyways.

Just get enough dex to buy skills and build strenght.

See, the big question I think that most people missed in this post is where is his 4th party member?
If he's leaving Lothering and only has 3 party members, that means he completely rejected Morrigan and told her to leave (I'm not sure if that's possible).
Rejected Lelianna completely as well.
Refused to save Sten.

He seems pretty obviously like either a Troll, or a person who insists on doing things a certain way.
Either way, giving him tactical advice is probably not going to fix things.

Alright guys let's stop fighting. I'm just hoping someone can offer some advice to counter a shade. My problem is fighting four shades. They take down my attack rating & defense rating. Then I get owned. Is there anyway to counter this?

3 yellow shades & 1 orange shade.

So difficult. I wish I could just leave the area but the game won't let me.

Nope, that is the shade trap in Brecilian Forest where 3 partymembers die instantly and you have to fight ONE shade by yourself (notice ONE shade, not 3 yellow and an orange one).

Well can you close this thread then?  The guy's gotten advice on the first page.  All we're doing at this point is re-stating the same exact things to the guy.  It's not our fault he can't follow the advice.

You know, you can just bring in Morrigan for the one fight. It won't affect your story at all.

Or, don't, and be stubborn while expecting Bioware to fix your non-existant problem.

Overall you need to remember this is a GAME not a BOOK. You're going to have to play the game properly if you want to beat it. If you can't handle that, then don't play it. It's really that simple.

Thats not this. Thats in the Breclian forest but could cause a similar problem. The only problem here is you don't have a save you can go back to. From what you have described its not tactics you need to change. You just screwed up and triggered something you are not ready for. Your not going to be able to beat this encounter on your current game.
