I hate how in Mass 3, you can't be suspicious of EDI at all. I never trusted that thing, and now the game wants me to accept her. Honestly, she does a lot of questionable things in the game. Even with a reaper IFF, she will always give away my ship in reaper controled areas. I don't get why we must put our lives in her care, it unnerves me. She just seems very dangerous and not useful. Her role is easily filled by Legion.

Pre-synthesis?
Yes...

EDI proves herself on the suicide mission...
There's some concerns Eva Core might have taken over when EDI gets a body, but she proves herself again at Cronos Station...

Yeah she's trustworthy, and I don't really see what she does questionable in the game, besides romancing joker.

And what makes you think Legion is more trustworthy? :S

So EDI can't be trusted, but a Geth is a-ok?

Right

EDI sympathizes with the geth that sided with the reapers. Legion opposed that and was willing to fight against hostile geth. Also, Legion has a soul and a real personality, unlike EDI.

what game were you playing?<_<   EDI has way more personality than legion, and if any synthetic has a soul its EDI not the geth

"Does this unit have a soul?"

Legion explores this more than any other AI in the game.

EDI has proved herself time and again throughout ME2 and ME3. Sir, are you a troll?

Yes.

Because she chooses to help me, and does not deceive or oppose the crew of the Normandy or their allies, she shares similar goals and proves to be a likable individual and a worthwhile asset to the team. She saves Joker's life and your life at least once each in the story.

tbh i was very dubious about Edi in ME2 i kind of felt that she was always going to go rogue AI on me and totally screw me over. I was pleasantly suprised when that didn't happen. Is she trust worthy? Totally however i never felt a great attachment to the character as i did others.

"Does this unit have a soul?"

Legion explores this further than any other AI in the game.

EDI also asks you repeatedly for insight on how to become"more human" and "does this unit have a soul" does not mean he has one. as for the comment about legion fighting hostile geth, EDI fights them as well so that makes no sense.

Only because the story forced her so. Legion could performed her job, and much much better. She shot at me during ME1, and she is unreliable in keeping the Normandy from being detected by reapers.

I have to say, I felt more sympathy for Legion when he got stabbed then I did for EDI when she got red space-magic'd.

Well I've never played ME1, so i wouldn't know. And every other Geth has shot at you too. Then you let one who can speak on board, allow him to live in your ship? EDI is an asset to the team, Legion can burn in Heastrom's sun!

Then why does she always let the Normandy be detected in reaper controled systems?

Joker: "Oww. **** **** ****! Hey watch the arm! "

EDI: "I enjoy the sight of humans on their knees"

Joker: "What the ****? I think I fractured some ribs"

EDI: "This is proving to be an illuminating experience"

Joker: "You start singing 'daisy bell' and I'm done"

Maybe I'm biased against her for taking Joker, but my suspicions have merit.

Don't forget the part where she says, "That was a joke." EDI doesn't understand the severity of the situation, so was the joke necessary at the time? No, because the whole crew is being kidnapped, but she doesn't understand humor like we do.

Nope, I don't trust her. EDI was built by Cerberus, so I "trust" her as long as Shepard's goals and Cerberus' align. EDI did not "prove herself" during the suicide mission - because it's exactly what she'd have done if she was working for TIM first*

In particular, EDI being in control of the Normandy is the main reason I destroyed the Collector base - because EDI could easily have killed Shepard once back on the ship, this was the only way to ensure it wouldn't fall into Cerberus' hands.

* You can trust someone when you know that they won't betray you when it would be to their advantage
