[Han Shot First]

Another thread asking how to trigger the confrontation scene between Liara and Ashley got me thinking...

In ME1 if Shepard flirts with both Ashley and Liara he can potentially get a confrontation scene where they'll both demand that he make a choice between them. Shepard has the option of going full Renegade jerk mode, and trying to work a threesome into the equation. Liara is receptive to the idea, while Ashley storms off saying, "I hope you two...or how ever many you end up with, will be happy together!"

Ashley's reaction is totally understandable, considering she is a woman.

Here is where things get weird: While I've never seen the confrontation scene with Kaidan, Liara, and FemShep, from what I understand it plays out fairly similarly. Fem Shep can suggest a threesome and Kaidan will turn it down.

My question is, what man would actually do that? His girlfriend suggests a threesome with another attractive woman, who isn't offended by the idea, and his reaction is to storm off in a huff?

I think Garrus must have revoked his man card soon after.

I think Alistair from Dragon Age's reaction to the whole threesome scenario was much more realistic, and hilarious.

To be fair, there was some sexual tension between them prior to that point.

No need to get all pissy.

It just is a simple fact that there aren't too many men who would turn down a threesome with another woman, if their wife or girlfriend was actually offering. Their reaction would probably be more similar to the way Alistair reacted:  "Wow...and here I am, awake and everything!"

Threesome, while not the taboo some people like to believe, it's not for everyone's taste. There are plenty of men who wouldn't go for a threesome, especially if the woman they love is involved and that doesn't make them one bit gay.

As for Ash's reaction being understandable because she's a girl, could you be any more sexist? Again, not every girl will be into it, but there's nothing wrong or ****ty about enjoying it.
