The geth signed on to destroy the Reapers. Everyone who signs on with Shepard does so with the expectation that they may die. Nobody signed on with Shepard to a) make himself the new Reaper overlord, orhug the Reapers.
If you were to seek informed consent for Synthesis, you can be damn sure the vast majority of galactic citizens would say NO THANKS BRO. PUSH THE RED BUTTON, KTHX.
The Geth did indeed sign on to defeat the Reapers. But they didn't sign on to be destroyed when there is another option - another way.
The Quarians didn't ask to hug the Geth. But I got them to do it anyway.

Justice aims to reform a criminal/evil character.
Vengeance aims to, well, avenge the victims.
Add it would be a better form of justice to control them and not force a new state of life on every one.

There is a reason why i have more sympathy to organic races then to machines, that though i would prefer a peace between Geth and Quarians, if i had to choose one or the other, i would choose the Quarians. Machines don't have innocent children, and it was the Geth that wiped out many innocent quarians when they rebelled, i don't think they had to wipe out 99% of the Quarian population to earn there right of existence (i'm not against the geth defending themselves from being destroyed by the Quarians...they just went to far), probably most of the 99% wiped out wern't military, but innocent civilians, including children.

I'm just trying to say, that if new natural organic life can be created in the Milky Way after a synthesise ending, then whats the point of that ending? I think bioware meant for synthesise to change all natural life for good in the milky way, and there won't be anymore new natural organic life in that galaxy.
I know it doesn't make any sense in the context of biology....but that's bioware's space magic for you.
Dude, after the bunch of crap that came out of Javik's mouth, it's pretty clear that Bioware doesn't like books.
This.
With all the space magic the Asari and Protheans had one wonders how the hell they lost to the reapers.

And she's right. Why quarians are more important than the geth? because they're organics?
The only right choice in that conflict, if you don't achieve peace, is to side with the Geth, the Quarians just like to kill themselves.

Well aware. The Catalyst is the "evil" one, and even he is just an AI that was terribly programmed and has become overzealous in fulfilling it's directives.
Control isn't justice for the Reapers because you're controlling them, just as the Catalyst did. It's the same level of wrong morally.
Although I don't want to turn this thread into a Synthesis thread, everything added in Synthesis is completely optional. It HAS to work that way. Synthetic traits are all activated, by nature, so it's optional.

Yes, I went to law school too. Outside of the justice system, common people tend to replace "unlawful" with "unjustified", and war arguably meets that definition on a mass scale.Jamie9 wrote...

Father is a lawyer. Same principle applies.
You "murder" people in war as well.
No has the right to "order" you to kill someone.
But someone had to stop Hitler. People had to die to make that happen.
Unethical, but it saves future lives.
