Considering the numbers of ships loose in that game...
Even reapers would have problems with Titans.

Technology advances along the path of cybernetics instead of space flight, achieve synthesis on our own terms. Reapers have no reason to harvest us.

I just thought what if the Reapers turned up in End of Evangelion.
Reapers arrive at Earth: We are the harbinger of your per-WTF!!!
I’d like to see them try to comprehend that. *all Reapers spontaneously explode*

Optimus Prime riding on the Launch Deck with the Matrix of Leadership to light our darkest hour.
The Doctor would be in the decision chamber, sonic screwdriver in hand, a plan in the back of his mind.
Picard to reason with the Catalyst, and Kirk to punch it when things get out of hand.
The doomsday weapons from Deep Storm and Impact.

Hmmm actually I don't know if a giant facehugger would work on a Reaper... They already look kinda like giant facehuggers... :S

If we got Primus to transform, he would be able to take out EVERY REAPER in one move. There would be no reason for anything else.

Forerunner. The war would be over about 30 seconds after the Forerunner find out they have competition for top spot in the galaxy.
War wouldn't last more than ten seconds.

With our Laws of Physics, the Reapers would lose their mass effect cores, power sources, weapon capabilities, indoctrination potential, and generally everything other than being a giant paper weight.
No other sci-fi universe can do that. Hell, we'd do it to them at the same time.

The GTVA, of Freespace fame.
They could crush the Reapers using tactics, something that the Mass Effect universe is sorely lacking.
Oh, and their ships aren't made of paper, and can and do regularly withstand the Reaper beam cannons.
I was so going to suggest this. The GTD Hecate would be devestating against a Reaper, plus it's fighter compliment is huge. The Orion (the space brick!) would broadside the heck out of a Reaper.

HOW THE HELL DO I EMBED THE IMAGE?
lol, the Hecate would absolutely destroy a Reaper. Considering that it has 5 beams, and being conservative, it would take MAYBE 2 shots to destroy a Reaper, while they could withstand at least 8 rounds. That means it would take 8 reapers to take out one Hecate.
And then there's the fact that everything and their mother has beam canons.
The Reapers only advantage would be their relative speed. If the GTVA blockades even ONE relay with maybe 16 or 17 ships, they aren't getting through.
Hell, even the Systems Alliance could do it.
Conventional victory impossible my butt.

I love you (no ******) for mentioning the SDF-1. I was just thinking of the SDF class ships from the Macross universe (NOT THAT ROBOTECH BS!).

Totally not fair to bring in the Demiurge. It's one thing to bring in Forerunner or Covenant... it's totally another to bring in the being who shapes the Platonic Forms into the physical and mental worlds and who can simply STOP and cause all existence to cease.DriftingMustang wrote...

I'm not sure that the Systems Alliance could do it, but the GTVA, hell the Terran forces on their own, could probably take the Reaper fleet. There would be losses, but they would be minimal.
Don't even bring into the equation the Colossus, (asuming this is pre-Capella) as that would be a rediculous easy win for the Terran forces. While they are at it, they may as well evacuate the Citadel and destroy that as well. A few well placed beam slashes would rip that thing in two.

And hey, at least I was responsible enough to bring in Nestbuilders to deal with my Inhibitors. And didn't bring in the Cache Weapons (somehow, I doubt that weapons with simple AI that picks their targets would help here. Especially since only one ever changed its mind)

i guess that's the main problem with Mass Effect being a fairly weak universe compared to many others (this due to the aspired "mortal" feel to the game). Most help from other universes would **** us all up, but with most suggestions here, i could almost live with it just to see the Reapers try to go up against some of the suggestions in this thread
