Yeah, that's why I put the warning in my Gunbusters selection :P.  There are no other alien races since in the Gunbusters universe, so how they will react to all our Krogan and Geth and others will be interesting, but they will be unlikely to decide they all need to die.  Besides, it will all be worth it just for the Reaper's reaction to the Eltreum dropping out of FTL: the Eltreum is humanity's flagship and over 70 km long; the Citadel is only 44 km for a Mass Effect comparsion.  But that's the level of firepower you need when fighting space monsters that are pretty much what Warhammer 40k's Tyranids want to be when they grow up.

Ratchet and Clank. I mean come on, Clank can control time.

I'd use the Dimensionator to hide in another dimension. The reapers would be pissed to find that large populations vanished without a trace.

I would bring the Federation with Picard and Kirk, and the Master Chief from Halo.

Jedi's already are indoctrinated, it's called the Jedi Order, same goes for the Sith for that matter.

That single space marine who beat every enemy in DOOM games while carrying about 500 kilos of weaponry and ammo. I doubt the reapers could stop him either.

Or any of those replicator-tech creatures we have seen in various scifi universes, Lexx and Stargate for example. Ofcourse stopping them afterwards would be a bigger headache than letting the cycles continue :)

As the title suggests, if you could bring help from any sci-fi universe to battle the Reapers, wich universe would you pick? and why?

Personally, i'd go with Warhammer 40k. Cuz the mental image of Space Marines roflstomping husks is just too good to pass up.

the point of this thread apart from just lulz: The Reapers are declared unbeatable by conventional means, atleast by us in our cycle. So what other sci-fi universe would you bring in to beat em conventionally?

You wanna know who I would get help from....

Arthur C. Clark, Issac Asimov and Robert Heinlein, known as the "Big Three" in science fiction writing. Because just the writing prowess of one of them would fix the ending, but all three, they would write an ending that would make your soul cry.

In truth, I say if your going to make appeals to the scifi gods, why not just ask for their help directly. Because they if anyone could do it.

Unfortunately they are all dead at the moment. So you would need either a time machine or some way to resurrect them if you really want their help :)

The White Star fleet

These ships were built to be both maneuverable enough to engage fighters but have the punch to take on capital ships. They were used as the predominant weapons in the Shadow War between 2259 and 2261 and proved themselves to be formidable vessels, taking on vessels many times their size and winning.

This incredible performance is in part due to advanced Vorlon components found in the ship such as the bio-armoured hull which is capable of learning from experience and adapting itself to better protect the ship in new engagements; this hull design also gives the ship the ability to 'heal' itself after it has been damaged. These ships are also capable of creating their own jump point into hyperspace without using a jumpgate, giving these ships tremendous flexibility on the battlefield.

For the space forces:

1. Admiral John "Black Jack" Geary of the Allaince 1st Fleet from the Lost Fleet series. He'll likely bring null field weapons with him and I doubt a Reaper could withstand that.

2. All three factions in Sins of a Solar Empire.

Ground forces

1. Zerg

2. Commander Kristine Longknife from Mike Sheperd's Kristine Longknife series

3. The Star Marines from Ian Douglas' Heritage, Legacy, and Inheritance trilogies.

we might have trouble dealing with the Zerg afterwards, though.

stargate asgaurd, or the ori fleet, their shields could take pretty much anything they could throw at them and the reapers shields would be useless against there energy weapons

not the best race from stargate, the reapers sheilds would offer some protection from drones (witch they did not use like the humans did) and they did not use zpm's in their war ships, and they lost to the wraith

remember when andromida was hit with a micro black hole, thats what the reapers would do to their ships

not to mention half of their weapons wouldn't be anymore effective than mass effect weapons

Well it's a different kind of indoctrination, and it definetly has different results, The Jedi's are not gonna do the reapers bidding for following the Jedi code
